Excellent staff , owner greets you at the door, terrific dishes beyond Gyros type meals. Prices are fairly steep, but beers are actually well priced. Tip: Sit at the bar .
Great greek food ! The most amazing olive oil I ever had! Octopus is delicious, grilled fish is amazing! I love all the appetizers I can never make up my mind so I order plenty! Great greek wines !
This is a Turkish man commenting on a Turkish desert prepared by a Greek restaurant , i.e. ekmek. I ate the best of its kind in this restaurant - including the ones in Turkey . Great job!
Really good solid Greek/Mediterranean food. Great service. Was here for lunch , Will b back to try dinner . Have the octopus , dips and souvlaki . Specials on black board is a must try.
Ekmek (I am a Turkish man commenting on a Turkish desert prepared by a Greek restaurant : It was the best of its kind that I have ever tasted - INCLUDING THE ONES IN TURKEY! - great job!)
Awesome food at a very affordable price . The gyro platter is a huge serving of delicious food that comes with your choice of side (I prefer the lemon potatoes ) and fresh pita . Service is also great!
Definitely authentic . Only Greek restaurant in NY I've been to all year with waiters that were actually Greek! Tzatziki is really garlicky. Keftethakia and fried zucchini/eggplant both awesome.
Vegetables , pita , olive oil , olives , grill, everything was good. Waiters were very nice without being pushy and music felt like we were in Greece
I love this place. The pita and olive oil are fresh, the food delicious, and the waiters are all super friendly .
The Horiatiki salad with gyro meat is great! Ask for some tatziki sauce on the side. The large salad is bigger and cheaper than two small salads - a great option for two people.
Wow is this place good! saganaki , moussaka , octopus , chopped salad were all 'write home' worthy. Save room for the delicious baklava !
True giros. Meat is a little bit different, but to have true one you need some special equipment just for giros. However, it's really tasty.
Get Lavraki! It’s super fresh and delicious. They have plenty of Greek wines to try. Friendly staff !
Seriously some of the best Greek in the area. All the veggies are very fresh and the portions are large. Get the chopped salad !
Best plates to share are the eggplant and labne, or anything else you can scoop with the delicious flatbread .
The grilled octopus is a great dish and definitely shareable, which I learned the hard way
overall, the food is good but not great and a little pricey . I do enjoy the prasini salad and the chicken gyro , but there are way better & cheaper places where I can get these items.
They are one of the few places I've found that puts meat in their grape leaves and I love their light, fluffy tarama.
Cute Greek place. I love the keftedes and prasini salad . Everything here is amazing!
Good place for a first date. Impress her with the flaming goat cheese .
Super fresh food ! Love the olives and seafood dishes !
Great cuisine, staff and ambiance! I highly recommend it!
Food was delicious! But be open to wait a long time for your food. Apparently they cannot handle the crowd at close to full capacity
New, moderately priced Greek. Nothing particularly novel about the menu, but food was very good, space was cool as service was great. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
This place is great at night! Stavros is the best bartender .... try the River Horse Belgian Freeze on tap ! Dark but super smooth.
Best lamb everything!! Wait staff is stellar and attentive
Great Greek food . Get the pork souvlaki platter with fries . The servers are even Greek!
You will come back because there are so many things to try
Everything is great and the staff is wonderful. Love it.
Excellent service & decent Greek food , if perhaps a little pricey for what it is. Good variety of dishes, however.
New addition to University , best hummus in the area. Awesome chicken gyro , vegetables and deserts .
Fantastic mid range Greek. A rare winner in this category / location. Do not skip dessert .
fresh, warm pita bread it outrageous. also, thumbs up for the baba ganoush .
Amazing greek food ! Drink red wine & eat appetizers w/ pita breads ! Delicious!!
Chopped salad and spread trio. Perfect and yummy Spring brunch !
Portions are HUGE! Fast service and good is delicious!
Nice setting and good upscale Greek food .
The Avgolemono Soup will cure what ails ya!
Food was absolutely delicious but they tried to charge me $3.50 for the "extra tzatziki " I asked for with the gyro I ordered without telling me that was the cost when I asked for it. Not cool ????
Get the loukaniko and the skordalia. Really great food - tastes very authentic
The Tzatziki is to die for!!
GREAT food. Chicken souvlaki here is what dreams are made of
Try the phylo feta and the Greek salad !! Best olive oil ever
How do they make their pita bread so delicious?
Octopus is great
Great space; the saganaki is very good here.
Sampled many dishes... unexpectedly authentic . Won't disappoint if you're in the mood for Greek. -Zeus
The people are great.
Upscale and not insanely expensive if you don’t get seafood .
If you are coming for pick up call and order in advance. They are very slow during lunch time
I've had authentic Greek food all my life, and Pylos is the closest to authentic Greek cuisine you can get in New York. - Dona H
Get the pikilia and a large Greek salad. More than enough food for two for lunch. Everything is delicious! - Caty Tedman
Nice theater for the populated area. Can get pricey, as expected nowadays. - Sara Jordan
Gelato macarons - something I've never seen anywhere else. I recommend the salted caramel in particular. Of course the gelato itself is delicious as well - Chad Horner
Good bar food (especially the wings) and cheap beer specials. Good place to catch a game but can get crowded. - Oje
