From acclaimed chef Sean Brock , McCrady's is a limited-seating chef 's tasting menu that mixes great Southern lowland cuisine with modern twists. 2-hour course combines over 16 different tastings. A++!
Fantastic Sean Brock brunch . Hot Brown, Sunny Side Egg and Pan con Tomate, Smoked Trout , Soft Scramble both standouts.
Excellent cocktails . Tasting menu is superb, worth the splurge: ours included smoked trout , delicious pork loin , lots of seasonal vegetables . Beautiful adaptive reuse of the old carriage house.
Sit at the bar with Kevin & Chuck. Great cocktails and food! Love the Dirty Margarita...ask Kevin. It is a cross b/t Dirty Martini & Margarita . Delicious. shrimp pasta dish & beef tartare rock.
Everything was amazing! Highlight of the trip to Charleston. Fine dining with a trendy atmosphere and friendly staff . Manager even made recommendations for other great eating establishments in town .
My wife and I tried the swordfish and it was amazing. And what a great space and bar . Very romantic setting . We will definitely be returning here on future visits to Charleston.
Inventive cuisine, pre-Prohibition cocktails and a gorgeous space that dates from the early 1800’s make McCrady’s one of the best restaurants that this city has to offer. [Eater 18 Member]
try the macaroni and cheese dish "A pie called macaroni ," if you like broccoli get the baked broccoli side, and for a perfectly seasoned steak , the steak a la royale is a home run. A+
Wonderful. Not super kid friendly , but friendly enough. Noodles w/cheese &/ butter + a protein if ya want. My kids are huge history buffs, so seeing where George Washington ate was awesome for them.
My favorite restaurant in the south. You can get food anywhere, at McCrady's you taste art . Trust the Chef and his numerous sommelier , you will not be disappointed.
Expect about a 2-hour dining experience, even if you go with the 4-course menu. You cannot go wrong here -- whatever you get will be delicious, and the selection rotates daily.
Expect a genteel experience, with white tablecloths & formal service, but a farm-to-table sensibility, serving artistically plated compositions like celeriac baked in hay, pear , pecorino & truffle . Read more
As a college student , I can't afford their full menu, but their bar menu is affordable and delicious! One of the few places you can get Madeira downtown. Great wine selection !
Best restaurant in Charleston. Inventive food with local ingredients and perfect service.
A wonderful celebration of southern ingredients that will blow your mind. Great wine list as well .
Grab a seat at the bar . Start with the Red Eye or the Eli Cash. Order some snacks then have Cappie pour you some fun new wines !
Chef Sean Brock brought Andrew Zimmern to his restaurant , McCrady's, where they cook and eat an Ossabaw pig . Andrew sampled fried pig 's ears, Ossabaw terrine,Charleston gold rice and Ossabow jowl.
No better place for drinks than McCrady’s in Charleston. Great bar tenders. Nice and historical location as well .
One of the best meals in my life -- revelatory from start to finish, with warm, excellent service. Can't wait to go back!
We had the best cocktails of our lives. The beef tartare was amazing. Everything we ate was perfection.
President Washington (yes, the 1st one ever) dined here when he visited Charleston back in the day. An amazing experience.
Great bar with great bartenders . Loved the brown derby.
Mccrady's was outstanding! Best meal we had in charleston...and that's no easy task. High cotton seems like McDonald's compared to mccradys
Can't go wrong with the desserts . Carrot here, but try the frozen grits !!!!
The shrimp bisque was delectable, the local fish was so-so, but the vanilla brûlée ice cream was magnificent. Service was impeccable.
The chef 's tasting menu changes nightly but is always a great bet, jam-packed with local seafood and produce. Read more
Exceptional service, exemplary food, and an amazing selection of Austrian wines .
Accommodating for gluten free . Don't miss the potato purée w black truffles .
Imbibe Magazine listed McCrady's as pouring some of the Best Classic Cocktails in the South in their March/April 2011 Southern Issue.
Fantastic restaurant ! Make sure you do pairing with wines . Delightful!
Excellent wine list though a little pricey ! The Market Menu is excellent value. I had the amberjack crudo and duck . Scrumptious!
Unbelievable food - everything was so unique and delicious. Rivals any restaurant in Manhattan.
This is Michelin star quality food for 60$ a person, hurry up and get here because if the night we were there is any indication they won't last.
Fantastic tasting menu restaurant by Sean Brock.
Neither as inventive not as good as Husk, but easier to get into on short notice. Service was all over the map and extremely slow when we visited. Get the ham .
I had the best pork I have ever eaten. Just amazing. Excellent service , nice design but unbelievably good pork . Read more
