As a connoisseur of Tex Mex , I approve for comfort Mexican food . It’s sacrilegious to not start with guac and seven dips . Pastrami tacos and short rib make your own tacos are????. Layer on a few margs !

Guacamole to start was delicious with all of the flavored sauces. Short rib is delicious! Combination of flavors is delectable. The experience overall was wonderful.

Empellon's high end offering is not for those on a budget. Sea bream was great. Downtowners will recognize familiar guac , salsa spread and some of the taco offerings

Guacamole/salsa flight and short ribs are overrated, but tacos and cocktails are solid. Downstairs bar can be a raucous white-collar bro-fest, but the upstairs dining area is an oasis above it all.

The guac and salsa is a must. Had the falafel tacos and sticky rice tamal , everything was delicious. We will be back!

Good and inventive upscale Mexican. With a mean margarita and cocktails on the side.

This is not a true Mexican restaurant . It's Mexican inspired. Though it was good, $21 for a tiny bowl of guacamole that was not prepared table side is a bit excessive. They also don't serve Sangria .
