Fantastic new Japanese don buri restaurant in the East Village . An excellent menu of share plates, rice bowls and curries . Beautiful interior and perfect for dates.
We ordered the Tofu Fire, the shrimp tempura , the Fried Chicken and a bowl! Everything was fantastic and perfect portions too! Great selection of sake too. We can’t wait to come back ♥️
The fried chicken curry was nice but we were blown away by the small plates ! The tuna tataki was so incredibly delicious that we ordered two! It has this spicy miso sauce on it that is so addicting.
New EV spot with great ambiance and even better donburi (rice bowls ). The popcorn chicken one was the bomb, I'll be back soon to try the rest. Get one of their mice wooden spoons for easier scooping!
Love this new Japanese joint in the East Village . All of their donburi (rice bowls ) are good. The shrimp tempura is my favorite.
Finally a place with a proper unagi (eel ) don. Very tasty and comes with a generous eel portion. The tuna appetizer is also worth a try.
You must order the Tuna Tataki . It is melt in your mouth amazing. The Yakiniku Don is fantastic too.
Oyakodon, popcorn chicken donburi , hijiki tofu salad , and anchovy roasted 🥔 were !! Only meh dish was the pork katsu curry . Curry was flavorful but pork was dry
Get the tuna and beef tataki , bunny yuzu , and the unatama don!
Japanese comfort food and sake night here.
Delicious Yakiniku lunch set! Not busy at all and comes with miso soup and pickles :)
Fire tbh. And they played old school Kendrick that’s bonus pts +
Rice dishes and dessert really do shine above the competition here in the east village
solid comfort food , service needs work. don't ask me if I'm done eating while you see me still scooping food into my mouth.
Come here between 5-7pm for plenty of tables and happy hour prices on beer and sake .
Cozy , trendy , small plates , veggie curry rice , intimate , less noise, nice staff
Cozy Japanese comfort food place, good for a nice conversation
Excellent rice bowls and curry over rice 🍛
The Tsukimi Tori Don is absolutly amazing!
Tsukimi Tori Don
サーブしてくれる方は流暢な日本語をお話しですが、料理はやや創作オリジナル風。ご飯 ものはドンブリ中心。雰囲気のせいか若いカップル多いです。値段は安い とは言いませんがリーズナブルなレベルかと思います。
Una tama don 😋😋😍😍
Curry udon, clams, and shrimp katsu were all fantastic! Order a bunch of skewers and plates, eat them, and then order a whole bunch more! - Tyler Simmons
Go for the mini bowls, easier to eat, grear portion and save a few bucks. - Hunter Thomas
Love this place that's kinda hidden from the LES scene. Out of everything the yakisoba and sukiyaki omelette were the best! - Vivian Kong
Ample seating. Great study spot - Wifi, outlets, bathroom, good lighting. - Emanuel Hahn
Green tea lava cake! And the honey condensed toast! Can't go wrong with either. - Linda Chow
Come here to be well-serviced and eat balanced portions of tiny and cute desserts. Top it off with a deluxe matcha latte. - Jasmine 💫
