Go with a package as they are better value than just a spa pass, although ideally not one with a meal included. Also ensure to book ahead at least a day for weekdays and more for weekends.
4 steam rooms , different scents and levels of humidity. Grab a foam tube and float around on the pools current. Time it right, and when the weathers good, watch the sun set whilst in the roof pool .
Springs Cafe dinner was delicious, smaller portions, but YUM. I had the roasted chicken breast with new potatoes (instead of mashed potatoes ) and my husband had the salmon - mine was better :)
This is more like a public bath than a high-end spa - as long as you go with those expectations (and at a non-peak time), the view from the roof pool over rooftops and churches is beautiful.
Book ahead of time. Even if your just coming in to use the pools. It can be the difference between being inside in under 5 minutes between waiting two hours especially during the holidays.
If you want to book a treatment here make sure to call ahead at least a few days since they fill up. Also by booking ahead you can skip the queue on busy days.
Quite busy! Nice and relaxing, keeping in mind it's just a swimming pool and steam rooms . Very nice as roof top swimming pool in a sunny day! A bit expensive !
A MUST when visiting Bath. Loved the ginger-lemon sauna , the rooftop pool and the lazy river ! We went for our honeymoon :)
Excellent roof top pool . Saunas currently closed but younger a free voucher for another entry. Cross bath very pricey and just one pool - unless you've been often better skip it.
Bath was established as a span by the Romans in AD 60 that sits on a geological hot spring that is still bubbling. Featured on The Coolest Places on Earth TV show.
2 hours is just the right amount of time. A wonderful experience, clean and well maintained (so far). Temperature of rooftop pool was perfect, even in rain and 4degreesC weather.
I loved the few hours to relax in the roof pool and go in the different steam rooms . Nothing else like it in England.
The best place to relax .. don't forget to swim on the rooftop the view there unbelieveable !
A two-hour session in the thermal waters of the open-air rooftop pool and indoor Minerva Bath of Thermae Bath Spa (01225 331234; thermaebathspa.com) is very enjoyable.
Great views . All areas are mixed (inc changing rooms). £26 for 2 hours plus hire of towels if required. If decide to visit last minute then pick up a swimsuit at sportsdirect for £8 around the corner.
Fantastic couples massage . Worked out as good value for money when you included entry and lunch . Only negative was how busy it was.
The spa is well worth a visit. If you are veggie or vegan or health conscious then watch the menu at the restaurant - expensive and poor value. They slip in butter and cream where they can.
The steam room are my favourites. The pools are nice too, great view from the one in the rooftop , but wish the water was hotter.
Dark evenings are best in the rooftop pool , but it gets quite crowded by the nightfall, so consider morning instead. Buying stuff at the cafe adds 45 extra minutes to your spa session .
A tiring experience, changing and shower facilities are all separated from each other, extremely crowded , water temp. at 33 degrees best to just go to a well-fitted gym in your local area.
I am not fond of these thermal stuff normally but pool on the roof is so great, as well as the steam rooms were fantastic. Still quite expensive per person but quality of service is high
Enjoy a 4-hour spa session for the price of a 2-hour spa session during Mondays – Fridays at Thermae Bath Spa for First Great Western ticket holders!
£27 for a 2-hour visit, for me, is not value-for-money. Take your own towels as these are charged extra on top of the entry. Despite the rates, very relaxing place
The pool on the Roof was breathtaking ! Lying in hot bubbling water whilst the rain fell was such a magical experience !
For someone from the continent this is rather disappointing: no sauna , no relaxation areas , just 2 pools and some steam rooms . And all this is pretty crowded .
LOVED it! Great view of the city , nice saunas and spas , clean facility .
Totally worth the price (and I'm a penny-watcher!). An absolute must if you come to Bath!
Lovely place to visit on a Summer evening. The rooftop pool is by far the best!
Plusses; very relaxing and it is nice in the rooftop pool . Down sides; not worth £27 for two hours. There aren't enough 'experience' areas for that money. Defo take your own towels to save ££
Try Twilight for two! It's awesome! All you can ask for a romantic day with your partner!
Amazing experience! After bathing make sure to hit the saunas to feel refreshed later
£26 for 2 hrs and its crowded with people. Nevertheless I enjoyed my time here with my friends. Probably wont be doing this again.
Really enjoyed it, lovely pools, relaxing hot rooms, felt great after, lovely views from the rooftop pool
If you have proof that you are a Bath resident (resident card, bill etc) you get 5 pounds off! 😊👍
Please be more considerate and keep your volume down especially in steam rooms . It's not a party place or a place for debate. It's really annoying when people are disrespectful.
Way too crowded to be peaceful or hygienic, especially at the price point. If it’s quiet , I’m sure the rooftop pool can be quite nice though
A good centre but VASTLY overpriced. I've been to several spas that were as good or better, were much less busy, had no time limit, but cost less than half the price.
Very nice, the rooftop bit is really cool
Pricey , but worth it for the roof top pool with views over Bath!
Very expensive for a 2 hour session. Expect to queue for 90 mins on weekends. Steam rooms very nice but rooftop pool area very crowded .
Try coming in before sunset . The rooftop pool should be sweet
Rooftop pool , and steem rooms - amazing!
Amazing views from rooftop pool . Food is really good too.
Slightly pricy but fantastic. Roof pool has brilliant views and the steam room area is the best I have used in the UK.
Loved it, the Twilight Package was good value
Two hours are more than enough to enjoy the spa , that is small and not really well furnished.
Great place to spend a couple of hours. Food in the cafe is nice and healthy.
This place is always packed - really expensive considering. Go in tourist off-season, on a weekday morning
Bring ur first western train ticket for a two for one. Pay for two hours 25£ and get four hours at the spa .
Float on two noodles in the Minerva pool and see if you can get all the way around in the current without paddling.
Beautiful grounds - it's like staying in Downton Abbey. Room was quiet and nice. Spa is excellent as well. - Jason H.
Excellent service at check in. Efficient and friendly. Well done. - Nigel Walsh
Beautiful hotel with great service. Within walking distance of the centre of Bath. - Anna Xox
The best place in Bath! So amazingly interesting and beautiful! Must get the audio guide, just wish tourists weren't so disrespectful - Georgia M
