Feels like the college dining hall for grown ups. Lots of the food is solid for the grab and go lunch . Salmon rice bowl with veggies is my favorite go-to.
TIP! If you are a vegan/vegetarian/kosher eater, you may want to read the ingredients on the vegetables . Chicken stock is just about everything....(There's a reason the Brussels sprouts were amazing.)
Huge variety of choices: sushi , cold bar , salad , soup , paninis , breakfast foods , coffee , bubble tea , etc. Also small items like steak sauce , peanut butter , chips , drinks, etc.
Their flatbread sandwiches are fantastic. Salads are great. There are two checkout counters, so keep that in mind during the lunch rush.
Essen is awesome. I used to hit up the Madison Ave location when I worked Midtown and this new location is even bigger and better. Hudson Square sorely needed this! Egg whites/feta/tomatoes sooo good!
The deli/cafe has everything - from sushi , ramen , noodles , sandwiches , salads , smoothies , and much more.
I dislike how much I rely on this place when I'm working in the area. But it does have a lot of variety and the food is usually decent. Stir-fry/ramen stations are my favourite.
Make your own salads are a great value : unlimited toppings. Everything else (esp. buffet ) is overpriced
Spicy roast beef sandwich is my go-to winter lunch . Don't let the long lines scare you, they are wicked efficient.
Unlimited MTO salad toppings. Amazing. Found some rogue chicken and a crouton though-- beware if you have allergies or dietary preferences!
Hot & cold food bars are good options on those days you just don't know what you feel like. Everything is pretty expensive , but that's what you get for paying by weight.
These places seem to be popping up around the city . IMO, one of the best lunch spots you can hit up during the work week.
Everything you'd ever want for lunch can be purchased here. This makes it easy to decide where to go with co-workers.
Their juices are great and nice meal choices
Quick Korean rice bowl for lunch is pretty cheap . Limited choices of Korean food in the area so this is not a bad option if you're in the mood.
The oatmeal bar includes unlimited fruit , nuts , chia/flax seeds. So good
Head over to the brick oven sandwich section. Can't go wrong with the NYU.
The chicken udon is pretty clutch
Fresh Korean BBQ Rice Bowls are a good call.
Market/cafe spot that is fairly fresh and tasty, decent for lunch
It's basically the hot bar area from whole foods, without the grocery store . The food is fairly high quality and they list the ingredients on each.
If you can't decide what to have for lunch come here. They have everything.
Lox bagel ! Great selection of wines too.
Go there for your lunch , lot of choice and fast!
The ramen is simple, cheap , spicy . Great quick lunch .
One of the best hot bars ...Not that the bar is high at all.
Breakfast burrito and ask to add extra bacon , your day will go so much better
Prepare to use up all your decision making juices here--so many good choices
This area needed a place like this. Lots of options and seating upstairs.
Obviously the sushi is deplorable. Just dont, god help you.
Great spot for a quick breakfast , lunch and dinner .
Don't be afraid of the long cashier line . It moves quickly.
In this area it's the only close and not ludicrously expensive place. Standard hot bar with something for pretty much anyone. Still, not a cheap place.
Great for lunch hours!
Quick and easy; just how I like it.
Fear not, the absurdly long line moves quickly.
The salad guy seemed annoyed with me that I wanted a lot of different veggies . Oops. I guess you're only supposed to pick a few
This place is awesome. Line wraps around Trader Joes style
Great fish selection at the hot bar
Wow! They'reopen on a holiday!!
Best thing to happen to Hudson square in a while
There was a giant BUG in my salad . I went back to complain and they did not care. I will never eat here again and you shouldn't either.
Dt Mt Dew needed for the night shift.
So disgusting. Warmer food is 3 days old. Was starving so grabbed a scoop of hard-as-asbestos penne and they wouldn't even give me a discount . Took one bite, spat it out, and walked to Chipotle.
$5.00 credit card minimum
If you have anxiety, don't come here at noon - 1:30
Big beverage fridge
Seriously ya'll... This place is glorious new addition to Varick St
Omg this place has everything!!!!!!
The Cardini sandwich .
The yoghurt pot with granola was good and a quick way to grab breakfast. - Jeremy Bassinder
Great stop with solid collection and decent coffee in the back. Easy place to work, but don't expect power outlets - Ab
Really love this place. Minimal decor so it feels very crisp and clean. The coffee and drinks are delicious. I work in the area and we've been hitting this more often than the two starbucks options. - Meaghan Smith
