Stick with the udon . I'm a fan of the curry katsu , thin & firm. The large gets you a bigger portion of noodles & it's the same price as regular. Best to make reservations as they tend to draw a crowd
Staff is friendly and explain the menu very well . Vast selection of Udon . Spicy udon & creamy corn parmesan udon w truffle . Cucumber in sesame vinaigrette and toro , uni with caviar nigiri . Good food!
Walls adorned with interwoven ropes, metal work, or denim panels - a truly artistic athletic that is a treat for the eyes. Generous udon portions - loved the Spicy Jengae Udon with a cracked egg 🍜 😍
So many udon , its so hard to choose! But with their Tsurutontan udon and wagyu shabu curry udon you can't go wrong. Be sure to try their water cake ! It's very popular in Japan.
Fantastic Udon . Straight from Japan - I've been to the ones in Osaka and in Haneda airport and you can expect the same. Def. check out the cold variety. Service was great too.
Giant portions of really tasty udon ! I had the sukiyaki udon - the flavor was complex and the noodles were the perfect texture. The large is big enough to share or to take half home.
We tried the snow crab and salmon sushi roll and the beef curry udon . Both were excellent. Definitely going to go back to try more stuff. Beware: the large udon bowl serving is huge.
So tasty! Especially the cold uni udon and any of the warm dashi udon . The tuna tartare cone and kampachi is so good. A bit of a wait but you can grab drinks and appetizers at the bar while waiting.
Tsurutontan Deluxe w/ thick noodles & the tempura served on the side (so it stays crispy )!! The broth is my asian soul food ♥️
Very good noodles ! The thick noodles are heavenly. I went with sizzling sukiyaki and it was 🎯 Cocktails are also unique and tasty! Great spot for a union square dinner .
Sizzling sukiyaki udon is so warm and luscious. Every bite is pure goodness. Don't miss the spicy tuna tartare cones .
Authentic udon spot from Japan. Try the uni/caviar and spicy tuna cone apps. Namesake deluxe udon , katsu curry udon , of cold uni udon . So good.
The Soondubu Jjigae Udon was delicious - just the right amount of spice, and extremely flavorful. Plus getting extra noodles for no extra cost is truly the cherry on top.
Some modern fluff in the menu: US Wagyu doesn't mean much, udons don't go with crème. That aside, the traditional home style udons are great - sukiyaki or nabeyaki are my top two. Free extra noodles .
Lots of giant bowls of piping hot Udon . An extensive menu featuring all sorts including curry , cream, cold and katsu . For those looking for something else, they have rice bowls and sushi too.
Stay with the clear broth and cold udon , those are the most authentic flavor. Also, visit this place during the happy hour you will be able to enjoy variety food in low price.
Excellent. recommend the spicy tan tan udon . two sizes available - reg and large. get the reg, it's huge and they bring extra noodles if you need. the non-udon items were meh!
Loved the uni cold udon dish. Highly recommend lunch on a weekday... the place is not crowded and they give you a free upgrade to a large size
Enormous portions . Excellent service . Loud atmosphere. Wonderful ambiance, super trendy .
Sizzling sukiyaki is the move. It's pure comfort food . Ask for a side of broth to cut its sweetness, and you're golden.
Perfect ambiance for a date before the party. Beer is served cold! 🍺 the hot and sour beef udon was great. The protein to noodle ratio is weak though. Many noodle places suffer from this.
Wonderful foods. It looks great, it smells great, it tastes great. I tell you, it's great! Solid date spot , for sure.
I was skeptical about cream-based udons at first, but consider me a convert. The Mentaiko Caviar Créme udon was amazing. (BTW, the large really isn't that large—ya might as well size up)
This place was packed. Def make reservations . Udon and appetizers were great. I got the spicy udon dish which was good but not that spicy .
Ignore the "its expensive " fools, this place is great. Space is beautiful, service is wonderful, ramen is delicious.
All the noodle dishes we had were great and the portions were v generous. The fried chicken appetizer came with some kind of pink ranch - also great.
I'm always skeptical of Union Sq spots but loved this place. Cool vibe and the handmade Udon noodles are fantastic. Price point is comparable to ramen joints in the city . My favorite was the Sukiyaki .
Same delicious noodles as the locations in Japan, I like the Kitsune Udon , but all of them are great! Free extra portion of noodles too!
You can choose between a regular size or large size of odon for the same listed menu price. The large size has an extra helping of noodles .
Good but not amazing. Had the uni and regular deluxe. Large portions are too much. Uni was heavy creamy and just a bit excessive while the deluxe was a bit water y. Udon noodles good!
The katsu don is really good as are the udon noodles . Just note they don't let you take food home! So come hungry because the portions are massive.
Giant bowls of udon and 50% off certain dishes right now
Love love! We ordered: - Uni, Ikura , Scallop,Cold Udon - Hamachi Carpaccio - Tofu Burrata - Tsurutontan Deluxe- Mango Sangria
HUGE bowls of udon and a good selection of appetizers , sushi , and drinks
Big portions udon but also a bit pricey
Comically large bowls serve just OK noodles & broths, particularly for $20+. Place is pretty big & has a sterile, businessy feel to it. Nice service.
NYT recommended dishes: Udon : duck , kitsune, nabeyaki, Tsuruton curry deluxe, truffle crème with mushroom , uni, zaru .
Try the $24 usd udon soup ! It is the best.... btw, it is huge, you might want to share
The udon is amazing! You have a choice between skinny and regular udon and the bowls are beautiful and huge!
I could’ve handled a large bowl of creamy hot noodles with uni! Do it if you’re hungry!!
A more nightclubby version of Ootoya. Tried a traditional udon + other snacks and everything was good while well priced.
It's a chain, but it's a high quality chain with tons of different Japanese options. Cauliflower was bomb
Big ole bowls of noodles , large is free with extra noodles but same amount of toppings & soup . mentaiko ankake to warm winter chills.
Loving the seasonal cold noodle menu
The broth here is very much amazing. Serving portions are huge. You will definitely be leaving full.
Lives up to its hype. You'll need to come back again to try a new dish to get the full experience
Great selection of udons ! Amazing, light broth with tender noodles . I would come back everyday
The Udon comes in a crazy giant bowl. It is more about spectacle than flavor.
Definitely try the appetizer - Tuna Cone and Steak FTW!
All of their appetizers are amazing - especially the uni caviar and fluke ceviche
Their udon noodles are really special, and if you can handle it, add mochi because it is huge and chewy!!! - Kyulee Seo
Spicy Korean Udon is delicious. Not really spicy but enough spice to enhance the flavors quite well. The Taiyaki Ice Cream and the panacotta are both great but the panacotta is better - David Lexus
Recommend coming earlier in the day as it packs up. You grab your udon first, then any tempura / onigiri / drinks. Happy to have a fast casual udon option in the neighborhood - Kate
The chocolate rugelach was the most reasonably priced item at $1.50, and was pretty tasty. There was a lively man doling out free samples, so I tried the challah with jam, too. - Caitlin Clements
Great enclose park for the little ones to run and have fun freely.....plus the shopping area is awesone. - Märlënë Bëltrë
