The Miso Soup and Crunchy Chicken appetizers are outstanding! The Miso Soup is probably the best in the world and the chicken is delicious. The view from the restaurant is a must see.

The Kobayashi cocktail (replace tequila with vodka ) is a great starter. Then get the waygu beef skewers if you eat red meat. Definitely get the Dragon and the Fiery Dragon rolls .
It’s a gorgeous spot, both interior and exterior for the LA lights view . The food itself isn’t amazing, pretty white washed. Parking is $10 valet and you don’t really have other options.
Love this cozy fusion Japanese restaurant in the hills of Hollywood. The food is delicious and creative; even if you aren't hungry having a cocktail at night is a must. What a view !
Opened 1960. Fine Japanese-style dining. Building constructed in 1914, with romantic views and L.A.’s oldest structure - a 600 year-old pagoda.
Make a reservation to visit around sunset . Go for the view and a sushi roll , but skip all the mixed drinks .
A very romantic place ! You should try and get a seat besides the window so you can look at the view while you dine. For dessert , try the strawberry doughnut dessert or the ice cream cookie sandwich !
Very nice place, friendly personal , great view !!
Celebrated my big 4-0 @ this old Hollywood haunt w/ my best LA friends. Come for the drinks, grounds & sunset views but not for the pricey food.
Great view but bad for vegetarians . Almost no options for non-meat eaters. Dessert and wine were great. Cook indoor garden area.
Go there before this landmark closes for good! Great views of Hollywood and the rest of LA! Looks especially nice at night
Great Japanese food , with an awesome Hollywood view . It's expensive and hard to get to - since it's located near the Hollywood Bowl. Try the Darth Vader roll .
Miso cod and wagyu yakitora very good, also like baked lobster roll and chef val, white dragon
Perfect ambience for a date spot with yummy food and cocktails , especially during the summer when the Pagoda Bar is open. –Sophie
The best view in Los Angeles! Great food and drinks too! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, it turned out even better than I had planned. I highly recommend going here :)
Himalayan salt stake cooked at your table, Darth Vader roll , sake , s'mores and a great view . Nice Sunday date place .
We had a great menu with sushi . Wagyu wasnt that special and desserts were not so. But the view is worth it!
Happy Hour from 6pm to 8pm
Come on a Thursday for the farmers market . Stay for drinks on the patio overlooking the city . No other place like it.
I'm not a sushi person but my friends raved about how great it was. The view of the city is AMAZING. And the ice cream - cookie sandwich is the best dessert I've ever had, you have to order it.
Great view , great food, great prices. Hit the Pagoda Bar and check out the garden area. Farmer's Market 5pm-9pm on Thursdays. Lamb & Maine Lobster were succulent^2
Salt Plate Wagyu is amazing. Ask for Nader, best service ever, super attentive.
Best sushi restaurant with killer views ! You can't go wrong coming here during the day or night.
Kyoto palace turned restaurant in LA—with some of the best views out there.
Incredible view , inventive menu. Walk up from Hollywood to EARN your meal.

The loveliest place. They are more than happy to make you a vegan roll which is not on the menu :)
Great view and tasty food
Great location great food, make sure to sit by the windows to enjoy the city view
The lobster and the NZ lamb were badly overlooked. The sushi and sashimi were fresh. Overall the main dishes were quite disappointing.
get there by sunset , and watch the city glow during magic hour! grand food, ambiance, drinks patrons and service :D
Cocktail bar has amazing views of hollywood. No rrez's needed there
Ask for Christina at the bar and have her make amazeballs raspberry lemon drop shots! And feel free to hit on her, she's a cutie :)
Ask for table near window. The service is excellent and the food great. NOT cheap .
Food is not great and it is expensive here but you are here for the atmosphere and the killer view . Great for dates.
This is the place for a Martini with a view ! I love their Lychee Martini :)))
Great city view ! Go down to the patio and drink up.
Picture this: you’re perched atop a hill , sitting in a poolside pagoda-style bar , the twinkling lights of LA spread before you like a sea of jewels. How do you say “romantic” in Japanese?
Awesome place - view , food, service.
The food is good (not stellar), but not traditional Japanese. Remember to carry $15 in cash to take care of valet parking .
The view is amazing, good service and food is highly recommended.
Delicious Food, Great service, amazingly beautiful views of LA! I love it!
The service was great and the steak is phenomenal.
It was ok. Not too many items to choose from if you are strict vegan / vegetarian .
Great tasting dishes, sushi and cocktails . However, sushi is overpriced
WowZers try the Reclining Buudha for a special treat that will rock your taste buds!! Yummmmmm!!!!
