Best to book a table if you want to eat on a Saturday afternoon. Haven't been to this pub for years - mostly a restaurant now. Nice alternative to the Florence down the road though

Ji

Friendly staff and nice spaces to sit both inside and outside

Neil Young

They have a cool little shelf of second-hand books -- 50p a book ! All profits to the Green Party.

Jack Bremer

Whatever you eat, get a side of red cabbage - cooked by elves on ovens powered by the core of the earth, these cinnamon-infused red sauerkraut are a delight.

Rajah Be

Great mellow spot for drinks. Pretty good burger and fries too.

Patrick Smith

The ales are consistently well kept and there's an ever changing selection

The food here was a cut above your average pub fare . Also enjoyed the pub quiz which starts a 8pm on Tuesdays

Rather good Sunday lunch . Top crowd too.

If you like your whisky but fancy a pint, try the Black Sheep , lovely peated taste.

£11 for 2 good, no nonsense courses every Monday. Worth booking .

Monday nights two courses for £11 hard to beat

Perfect summer pub with decent grub. Full English is a bit on the small side though

One of London's friendliest chilled out pubs ... Great food

Two courses for £11 on Monday pm!

Nice and mellow, quiet enough to hold a conversation, loud enough to feel alive

Vicky Noden

I generally like this pub , but we booked a large table for Sunday lunch and were told on arrival that it was re-booked 2 hours later so we basically had to rush the meal then and leave.

The home made mayo is amazing :-)

Avoid the crisp £1.50 for 40,! Nice bar staff warned me off :-)

The duck ponds are a must visit with kids ... there's coots, moorhens, geese as well as ducks plus a rather evil heron ... in spring really easy to sit the nests & ducklings, goslings etc up close - Alice Emma Thompson
