my favourite, away from the centre but en route to Brockwell Park . Old school local boozer with an old Brixton vibe. May be quiet in the afternoon though. (Jindy)
Great mix of old school boozer & Brixton jazz ! Live music is some of the best in the area, & you’ll struggle to find a cheaper pint within the M25!
Best jazz in South London! Not too packed and it's got amazing bands on Thu, Sat and Sun. Also, both their jerk chicken & pork are great!
Best jazz club in London. Seriously. Also great ska and dub.
Pub is not so great, but the Sunday jazz jam is great: cool, familiar atmospehere
Relaxed atmosphere on Sunday
Thursday night Jazz /Ska/Dub, great Brixton crowd
A bit dissapointed, no hand pulled beers
Go to the Effra for great Jamaican food and live music . Get yourself a Guinness , order some Jerk and don't forget the hot sauce .
Good atmosphere
Super jazz jam
Have Jerk everything. Have it. Go on. You'll be better for it.
Decent pint of Guinness . Eclectic crowd. Probably not for the faint of heart or romantics among you - especially on Footie nights.
Mutton curry is badass. Expensive but worth it
Thursday jazz
Great jazz/reggae band on a sat
Bo selecta
Two words: Jerk pork
Incredible ska/jazz on Thursdays
Orange juice is syrup with water, terrible and expensive .
Sin duda el sitio que recomendaría de visita obligada en Londres.
The beef and lamb stew is rich and delicious a rare treat for a pub stew. Loved it. - Alastair Bovell
Pre-club, a lovely place. Good vegetarian pizza options on the menu and you can pick and choose. Usually quiet for conversation. - Chris R (thechristophe)
Great local pub. Good venue with nice sound. Love their barbecue outside and the pool tables. - Lef Germenlis
Great sound, very spacious for a fairly small club. The smoking area is super nice - Valerie Kakovkina
