The history tour is the way to go! Make sure to visit the Counting House for some beautiful portraits and to see original brick and iron.

Really interesting history of New Orleans and free. Cecilia Hock was rude and made our initial engagement with the museum a bit unfortunate. Everything else was fantastic.

Wonderful, highly detailed museum on European settlement of Louisiana, that doesn't ignore indigenous and slave history. Free to enter!

Very nice example of a lived-in house. Docent tour is $5. Interesting but not excellent. $5 though-- worth it.
