Really nice newly opened museum in medieval buildings. A little hidden gem in the heart of Clerkenwell.

Lovely museum rich with history, although nothing spectacular. The best part is the Order is still active and continues its work.

Dating from 1503, this was once the entrance to the Priory of the Knights of St.John. Later this was where the world’s first magazine, Gentleman’s Magazine, was printed from 1731.
The small yard is cute
A gem of a museum. Sign up for the tour of the private residences. Only a few people can go every hour or so. It’s a wonderful way to learn more about Soane and see his family’s quarters. - Angela
