I love going here to see the tide pools , and they have a really clean camping area, conveniently close to Fairhaven shopping area. The short hikes are pleasant and have great views of the sound.
Oldest state park in Washington! Easy to see why. Beautiful sound views , gorgeous forest and lakes , interesting geological formations. Good trails and picnic areas , too.
Easy access to Bellingham. Campsites were clean and easy to setup tents, very close to the train so I hope you aren't a light sleeper. Take the walk to the breach and checkout the mural in the tunnel .
Great place to stay while waiting for the ferry to Alaska. But what’s the deal with no reservations in the off season? Almost didn’t come if we didn’t have a guaranteed spot. But alas, nobody here.
Site 38 has a small creek that runs right next to it. Really nice acoustics when it gets quiet . A smaller site, but a good one.
Awesome views
Don't believe the park ranger propaganda, there are NO racoons here.
After you’ve gone about a mile up the trailhead, veer left for 0.2 miles to this gorgeous viewpoint of the Sound and various islands. It’s a short and very rewarding detour. - Kaitlin
Great trails that are easily accessible from the parking lot. Truly a beautiful spot. - Brian Madariaga
Great place for fresh oysters and awesome view. Get there an hour before closing otherwise they may not allow you to BBQ. Bring tongs and charcoal! - Betty Mak
I never tire of the amazing beauty of this place. Grounding. - Kay Knorr
