Hole in the wall coffee shop you could easily skip except for the fragrant and ethereally light sponge cake , easily the best in Chinatown and a steal at 70 cents each.
Sponge cakes are FOR REAL. Ordered original & green tea for ONLY $1.70 and I already can't wait to try the coconut ! Sneaky hole in the wall so it's easy to pass this quick & cheap snack ... But don't!
Hole in the wall place easily missed. Cheap good hk style milk tea and sponge cakes . Some seats available inside but feels like ur eating in storage area. Lol
Forget the BBQ Pork Bun , curry fish balls , rice noodles & the rest. Stick to their authentic HK-Style Milk Tea + famous SPONGE CAKE (plain, green tea , strawberry , etc) which are BEST in C’town!
Their sponge cakes are amazing, especially the green tea one. They sell out quickly, so make it your first stop in Chinatown.
Get their HK style milk tea & pair it with their sponge cakes !
Sponge cake ! They have plain, green tea , coconut , strawberry and white chocolate flavors as well . Haven't tried the strawberry or white chocolate , plain is still my favorite so far.
Amazing and cheap sponge cake . Coffee comes pre-sweetened and with cream.
Great place for a small cup of Asian style sweet coffee and of course the sponge cake ! Always get the flavor they recommend :)

The cakes are really good, definitely try if in neighborhood . Original or chocolate chips
Best sponge cake I've had! And cheap too. Best eaten with hot milk tea & the Spanish dude behind the counter understands and speaks Canto!
One of the best sponge cakes in Chinatown. Get more than 1 coconut sponge cake if/when they have it!
75 cents for sponge cakes . always a fun place to sit for a while. Delicious Vietnamese coffee
Conflicted. Fluffy cakes are classic but bakeries were exposed to using plasticizers to keep baked goods fresh. This place might be using them; mom went overboard 1 time, burped w/strong plastic smell
Unbelievable sponge cakes . Super fresh and light. New location so much bigger and nicer
Delicious sponge cake . Get one that's freshly made . It's yummier warm.
Their vietnamese coffee tastes like the real deal I had in Hanoi. Love it!
Great lunch special for under $6 with a ton of food
Good cheap eats! I always get their sponge cakes !
My only comment - is it just me or are they more spongy than before (if that makes any sense)?Still super good though. Will make a trip to this place everytime we're in NY.
Thai Iced was awesome! A little watered-down, but I like it that way.
2 sponge cakes & a cup of coffee . You can't go wrong.
Sponge cake is as good as advertised. Original costs 75 cents ; flavored cakes are $1.25
Sponge cakes are incredible. Get the original flavor.
I can eat a whole box in one sitting. My favorite!!! Must try w/ an iced coffee !
If you are Chinese you will appreciate their sponge cake . Just like mom used to make.
Stopped here for a Vietnamese coffee after lunch at Thai son. Super friendly people here
Green Tea flavored sponge cakes are softer, sweeter and cost $1.
