La Churreria

The owner gave us free churros after seeing how disappointed we were that the churro shop was closed (he also owns the resto next door), told us his story coming to NYC working as a bus boy. Nice man.

Obviously the churros are good (they have sugar in them)but I love the croquetas here- as good as any I've had in Madrid . Also the calamari sandwich is fantastic.

Cafe bombón and churros with dulce de leche - a perfect treat. Get a taste of Madrid with a bocadillo de calamares (the madrileños). Ask for a lemon to squeeze on it.

They have amazing hot churros !! I also tried their Bon Bon and it was super good.

The chocolate is soooo thick and authentic . Churros are crispy and hot. The place is a tiny gem, don’t pass it by.

Get a Huerta bikini sandwich and an order of not-too-sweet churros . Skip the hot chocolate which is more like hot chocolate milk than a chocolatey drink

Bread is excellent (Mixto or Madrid sandwich ), cafe con leche is awesome. And get the dulce de leche churros

Any of the sandwiches and empanadas are great. Bread is excellent, didn't have a churro but I will next time!

An amazing simple spot in a glitzy neighborhood . Probably the best churro I've ever had and better egg sandwiches do not exist.

Finally, proper Spanish churros in NYC! Fried to order. NO CINNAMON . Minimal sugar. Extra thick hot chocolate . Just like San Gines in Madrid .

A really quiet place for lunch . You should totally get one of the combos: sandwich , salad , and a few churros .

Besides churros , you can get a good lunch here. Garlic noodle soup + marinated steak half-sandwich made a good combo.

Get the Mixto Bocata sandwich w manchego - easily 1 of the best sandwiches in the city !!

Had the calamari sandwich with horchata , made from tiger nuts , for lunch here. So good! And the chips were homemade .

Calamari sandwich is good. I didn't like the lentil soup . Also, owner had a shouting match with one of the customers, which wasn't cool.

They have EstrellaDamm beer . Very famous in Barcelona, Spain. It's so good!

Don't waste your $$...I ordered plain churros and were ready in a few minutes...as I walked I reached in to find really skinny churros and that is ok but I bit in and it was greasy and luke warm

This place has the WORST service I have ever experienced in NYC. We waited half an hour to order and another hour to get food. When the food was served we did not get utensils or half the order

They raised the price of the small churros . From a local's opinion- a mistake.
