Ramen after 10 is tasty. There is a great selection of cold saki . It has an authentic feel without being stuffy and the prices are reasonable. The gyoza was good and there was no wait. Recommended!
The first izakaya-gastropub in NYC. Try the smoked bacon wrapped mochi , popcorn gizzards , beef short ribs , oden soup , and BEER .
Unagi Don is awesome. Get there early if you want salmon for lunch ; it sells out fast. Great staff and some decent draft beers .
Can’t go wrong with any of the Yakitori skewers , but the Tsukune chicken meatball and Kjng Oyster mushrooms are my favs. Pair them with a Golden Roll and a few Orion draft beers in a frozen mug. Yuh.
Amazing grilled squid , salmon sushi special is terrific.
Japanese-style tapas . It’s a little pricey here - a pork belly skewer is like $5.50. However, can’t deny that the food was delicious.
The sushi/sashimi here is awful. We ordered the $48 sashimi platter that came with only 4 kinds of fish (octopus , a smidgen of hamachi and tuna w/ a ton of salmon ) and signature Astro Boy roll (ok).
Recommend the pork belly ssam (wrap ). Great pairing with sake !
A well-priced and DELICIOUS Japanese pub . The Nomad Butamoyashi is sizzling and yummy!
Fun atmosphere ! Great place to saki bomb ! Lots of plates to share
Really tasty food and reasonable prices. Would definitely come back again.
Come for the late night ramen after 10 pm
Get the sweet potato app, okinomiyaki and any of the rolls are delicious
Get the spicy tuna Onigiri but you only need one order for two people
$2 Sapporo drafts 5:30-7:30. Whaaaat! Grilled edamame is really interesting and hits the spot.
Come for happy hour from 5-7PM. $5 beer , $6 sake , $7 wine , and $4 chicken karaage .
Slow service. Food is not authentic , the gyoza was sweet and there was an avo in my chirashi 😕 the cooked dishes looked better but didn’t get to try. Don’t order raw fish here
Delicious and authentic ! Chicken hearts !
Hidden gem in the heart of nomad
The grilled avocado is amazing
The Okonomiyaki and smoked fishes here are unreal
Super friendly staff . Great for sole diners.
Right now at lunch they're offering 7% off the bill if you pay in all cash!
One of the best yakitori chicken wings !! 🐓
Food was tasty, but the portions were very small for the price. If you’re hungry, be prepared to order a ton of plates and spend a lot.
Real Japanese restaurant not the usual sushi house
Astroboy and Godzilla's hangout den... shhhh.
Shared plates are all good
If you're looking for Ramen , it isn't served until after 10 PM.
The hot water is the best thing in this place
So much good food and craft beers here
Good food, horrible service. Also 6 of the main things on the menu were not available. And an item that we ordered never came but was still included on the receipt.
Busted. If you wait till 10pm, they will serve you instant ramen . It's literally instant ramen . Other food was mediocre. 👎👎
Drink sake and eat sake :9
Super mediocre. 2nd time here and it was disappointing. Expensive small portions. Simple sauces and dishes aren't done right. Mostly run by Korean servers, not Japanese. Not coming here again.
Sushi Night in NY
They serve ramen on the late night 😏
Yuzu Kosho chicken thighs
Chicken Meatball x 5!!!
Good food!
Good vibe for hangout. Expensive and small portion.
Unfortunately there are much better Japanese options around. Might have been a bad day
Food wasn't great at lunch and it was way overpriced, even for NYC.
Nice ambiance, but don't come expecting authentic Japanese fare. Mediocre and over priced.
Mediocre at best. The only plus is that it's open late
Umm weird. Definitely not Japanese... 🤨
Good food but unfortunately insanely slow and inattentive service.
Вкусно на раз. Вернуться не хочется, но если рядом и хочется пообедать, то смело!
Always upgrade to the set. Can't go wrong with the Kaasanni: fried chicken with grated radish and fried egg - Jay S
Very cool place, somewhat hipster. Fresh fish and a jug of beer is all is need :-) - Ram
Fantastic value - definitely the best sushi dinner I’ve had at the $50 price point. Probably top 5 sushi I’ve ever had at any price. - Steven Benario
Try the lasagna al forno bolognese, with beef, veal & pork nestled between 8! layers of thin lasagna noodles. - Valerie Seckler
Really good cocktails and fun atmosphere with live jazz/folk music! Try Lovely Tokyo & blood orange sour - Irina
Love the vibe and decor, especially if you are into lit and Oscar Wilde. The Halloween decoration is amazing. Walk around and seek out the quotes. - Connie Chiu
