Hamoa Beach

This crescent beach is a mixture of coral and lava sand surrounded by coconut palm trees and flowering vegetation , which is inside a breached volcanic crater.

Best beach for swimming on the road to Hana. Best body surfing on the island . Great waves at times for boogie boarding , paddle boards , and surfing . It a steep hike to the beach so be careful.

The most beautifully blue clear water on the island ! The surf is pretty rough in the evening though. My kids loved it though. It is their favorite beach they have been to on Maui.
