Sardine toast w/curried tomato paste and fennel is da bomb. I could eat this every day and be a very happy lady. Get the raab- the peanut and toasted Serrano ham sprinkle on top make it a real treat.
The Whale definitely Wins! Delicious plates of wholesome, cleverly crafted dishes! Passionate team, gorgeous space. Pretty sure we ordered every dish on the menu ☺️????????
Everything we had was delicious! Staff was really helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was great! We tried the rabbit , sardines, and had rhubarb for dessert-I would recommend them all!
Incredible. Roasted cauliflower is perfectly prepared with just the right garnish and sauce. Chicken pâté is exquisite and if you don't get the roasted chicken you have no right to be here.
We had such a delicious dinner . If you are in the neighborhood ... anywhere in Seattle really... you should stop in. Interesting tastes, great share plates. I'll be back soon!
Loved the sardine toast . While not exactly the coolest or most adventurous thing on the menu, I found the butter lettuce salad exactly what my palate wanted after the rich bone marrow . :)
All the plates are shareable and pretty delicious, but the main dishes are the true standouts.
All food was fantastic. Very thoughtful. Sardines on toast and zucchini bread were particular highlights.
Love love love. Vegan options limited but truly delicious and I would sell a kidney for the bread
Boat street pickled vegetables ; all of the salads were fantastic and interesting
The lines start early and go long, so try to either snag a reservation or come at an off-hour.
Happy Hour Sun-Thurs, 4-6pm: $1 off cocktails & draft beer , $6 white wine , $7 red wine , $1 off toasts, cheese , & pickles
Save room for dessert : the oversized meringues stacked near the front become an impressive Eton mess .
Must get the chicken - you've never had chicken so good. Eton mess is never a miss, but sometimes isn't on ye menu.
OH MY GAWD. . this place was phenomenal. LOVED everything. . I want to try every vegetable plate they have!
The whole roasted trout with hollandaise and tarragon is to die for! Some of the best I've ever had!
Awesome food. The roasted vegetables and the chicken liver pâté were delicious! Would definitely go back!
Their wine menu is outstanding! Try the 2012 Rkacitelli - perfect white wine for any fish dish !
Sardine toast . Sardine toast . Sardine toast . Must even if you don't think you like them.
Wish they had more seafood options . Wine list could use some work. Everything was executed very well .
Great service, food, and ambience!
The braised pork is delicious! So is the variant on The Moustache Ride (from the Walrus & The Carpenter )
Awesome relative of Walrus & Carpenter . Try to score a spot on the deck if the sun is out.
That beef is perfect. Sardines on toast with fennel
Half roasted chicken with champagne mustard sauce is a must!
