An art gallery , it's a bit small compared to other galleries and museums in London, however it's worth the visit, if you are close enough and enjoy art spend a bit of your time there.
Impressionists + Egon Schiele's special exhibition for now. £4.00 Students can get a discount with their student ID card (It doesn't matter eventhough its not an international one.)
A lovely gallery . Temporary exhibitions change frequently and you can always go back for the permanent one. Absolutely favourite! It is not free though.
Nice little museum in the heart of Somerset House. You can admire some of Botticelli, Rubens , Cézanne , Van Gogh, Manet and Renoir paintings . Admission: only 3£ on Mondays.
Ashamed to say this is my first time here after many years living in London. Don't wait as long as I did. The top floor is a microcosmic lesson in modern art .
Solid, small gallery (especially if you like Impressionists).
An amazing permanent exhibition : Cezanne , Matisse, Duffy, Monet, Manet , Gauguin, Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandisky...they're all there!
Take a break at the Courtauld Cafe . The outdoor seating is lovely and the desserts are hand made. See my picture of lime and coconut courgette
Exhibitions on the top floor are always interesting but the perpetual exhibits are worth the admission price on their own - a wonderful slice of history.

The Courtauld Institute of Art was founded in 1931 with a gift of paintings by silk manufacturer Samuel Courtauld (1876–1947), but the collection was not made available to the public until 1958

Great little gallery , one of London's best. Size makes it not too daunting. Main Impressionist room is outstanding.
If you're running late for a talk and have ordered some tapas the cafe will keep it in the fridge for afterward, remember you table number.

UK students get in free with ID. Excellent gallery for its size, with sweet temporary exhibits (i.e. Cezanne 's "Cardplayers").
