Nice place for the first contact with the Scottish national dish: The amazing Haggis . Nice staff and more than 200 types of whisky for your choice!
Good way to try haggis is to have the 'wee taste of haggis ' starter. I had it for lunch . Nice & filling and great if you're a bit haggis shy!
I couldn't even precisely tell you why, but this is one of my favorites in Edinburgh. It's just got a real nice vibe. It's energetic without being chaotic and feels neighborhoody despite the locale.
he food here is amazing and for a good price. We chose (2 people) a haggis pie , a belhaven steak pie , a hot cider , a pint and a dessert (cranachan) for 35 pounds. Excelent service and location.
The full Scottish breakfast was tasty and enough to keep you going all day. Good location on Scottish mile. Not dead traditional but warm and friendly .
Could call it our local during our trip to Edinburgh! 3 nights out of 3 spent here! Extremely comfortable and cosy! Would recommend!

Touristy . Bartenders know a little about whisky , they lean towards to more known distilleries . Haggis was good. Fish and chips too doughy for me.
The Island Hopper whisky tour is really nice!

Claims to have over 200 scotches , whichs appears truthful. Not as 'old world' feel as I'd like here, but nice place for what it is. Decent food, full meals, very clean . Right on middle of Royal Mile.
