Super underrated interior Mexican food in a bright , sunny setting. The cochinita pibil , green mole , and chile relleno are all stars, but you know it’s legit because of the homemade tortillas .
One of Austin's most underrated Tex Mex restaurants , El Meson is an especially good bet for breakfast . Check out their Burleston Road location, too. [Eater 38 Member]
Sunday brunch is epic, they make so many things! Barbacoa and veggie scrambles and rellenos , arrive starving and push your limits because you have to try it all. Local GEM ????
El Mesón boasts a lavish tequila selection and authentic Mexican fare. We adore the amuse-bouches here, like the unexpected tiny bowls of fideo or a little street-style corn on the cob. Read more
Love this place! Big airy space, very minimalist décor, not fancy not divey but with impressive food. Friendly service , and not usually very crowded
Love that new ceviche with cucumber and avocado base. Light and refreshing, shrimp-centered, perfect dish for hot summer days and nights.
Pretty empty for weekday lunch , and I don't know why. Although the chips were not free, the pork lunch options were well-priced and delicious. Ask for habanero sauce for some extra kick.
This isn't tex mex ..this is the real deal. Opt for the pibil and Tamarindo margarita
Very good, authentic Mexican food . Try the tlacoyos and the mole poblano .
Super good! Friend from Chiapas said its the closest to authentic Mexican she has found in ATX. Nice drinks, too. Priced well .
This place is so cute and so delicious!! The staff was very nice as well
Sunday brunch is amazing, and quite a deal. $15/person. Living nearby, I'm in deep, deep trouble.
Best place in town . Eat the chilorio. And definitely go for Sunday brunch .
Get the chips and dips !!! All three drips are homemade and delicious and homemade chips !!!
Best interior Mexican (as well as Spanish) brunch in town !
Good food. Reasonable prices. Small portions. I'll be back for sure
I have been coming here since they opened. Tonight I was offended and disappointed by how rude our server was and by the owner's dismissive reaction when I spoke with him.
Amazing Sunday brunch buffet . Great value too.
Great interior Mexican food and very good prices. Nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff .
For the price, absolutely my favorite Mexican food ... It's not Tex-Mex and yes there is a difference.
Good food, good prices, friendly service .
amazing flavorful food
Get the Smokin' Raspberry Martini !!

Get Victoria beer !!! You won't be disapointed
Great food but don't eat at the bar on a Friday night. Service was slow and bar was messy.
This is the only mexican restraunt that I have ever been to that charges for chips and salsa ...
Tinga is PHENOMENAL!!!!
Not a shabby brunch for $15! Ole!
Waiters be tripping!!! They can't get right!!!! I mean really????! C'mon man!!!! Que?? Jigga que??? Jigga quien??
Cheese dip is required as is hitting the salsa bar. Amazing food, great service. - Rob
Avocado margaritas are deliciously rich. Fantastic Tex next and mex mex - Nat
Texas Au lait, Texas Chia chai, and peanut butter chocolate brownie in a waffle cone. Best ice cream I've had! - Danielle Beck
Dive but with mixology and a bit of a speakeasy vibe. Solid jukebox. The parking is confusing: if you’re a patron you don’t need to pay/scan off the sign. Walk in and input your plate and ur good - AmateurConcierge
Fresh food, cozy patio, friendly staff. A perfect casual place to get Greek. - Christina Hirsch
