Shiro Miso (kyoto style) Cha-Su. The pork medallions were tender and it filled me up. Gf got the Spicy version and it had a ton of flavor and was not too spicy . Beers come with nice frosty mugs.

Jorge Constantino

I had their Kome Miso spicy & it was perfect imo. The right amount of spice! My brother had the Shiro Miso Cha-Shu Ramen & it was good but a bit light on taste for me. Service quick & very friendly .

Powdered Snow Miso : Specializing in a choice of miso broths (one with “powdered snow” parmesan on top), you're encouraged to supplement your noodles with added proteins. Read more

excellent ramen , great option to avoid the long lines of the trendy ramen places of the lower east side. I had the tonkotsu ramen and it was delicious. it's cheap too! around $15/person.

Ryan Campbell

Honestly, one of the best Ramen spots in the city . Great prices and a lot of food for the reasonable prices. Broth and pork are filled with flavor. A must for ramen lovers.

Luciano Tsiros

Excellent ramen spot. Beer is served super super cold; delicious! As for ramen , try the cha-shu options. Most delicious pork you'll eat in a very long time. Full of Japanese people (which says a lot).

Kristen Marie

Had the spicy ramen and it was absolutely delicious. They give such a hearty bowl and the broth is to die for!! I left super full and wanting more!

Lori Luo

Quality ramen with a focus on Japanese miso can be found at Ramen Misoya. The chashu is tender and lightly seared, so you'll want to make sure your bowl has that included.

Steven Y

Way better value for ramen than Totto and Ippudo - you get three HUGE pieces of pork cha-shu, plus all the miso broths are great

Matthew

For a hearty lunch , try kome or shiro miso ramen with a side dish (fried chicken or pork dumplings or fried rice ) for $10. $1 more for mane miso ramen . Worth waiting outside.

David Rosenberg

Don't sleep on the delicious vegetarian iteration of Ramen Misoya's broth. Frosted beer glasses are a nice touch during the sweltering summer, so maybe order two/a thousand?

Kimmie Ohh

The broth is rich & the noodles are chewy. Choose between Kome miso (Hokkaido style-standard), Mame miso (Nagoya style- dark, red, bitter) & Shiro miso (Kyoto style- white, less salty, mildly sweet).

Mel

this ramen place is definitely at the top along with ippudo and totto with hardly any wait! and a way better 3rd option than minca. try one of the kyoto ramen and add some corn and chicken karaage !

Harrison Johnson

I love miso ramen and they did not disappoint! The Shiro Miso Cha-Shu was great. Cha-Shu pork was some of the best I’ve had. Will come back for the Kome Miso .

Peter Jones

Misoya Ramen is my absolute favorite ramen in the city . The Spicy Kome Miso Ramen will never be beat. 10/10. ????

Joy Chen

Generous portions of ramen , and I've never had to wait in line , both of which are pretty rare for a good ramen place in NYC. Cold tantan-men offered as a summer special was tops!

Ernesto Gutierrez

Refreshing to see a ramen place that knows beer ???? has to be served cold in a chilled glass . The shiro miso ramen is a great choice for those seeking a tad lighter ramen .

Dan Fetzner

Got the Kome Miso Cha-Shu Spicy - it was a huge and it was amazing. Some of the better ramen I've had in the city and I've had a lot of ramen

Lauren Mac

Solid ramen option that organizes bowls by style -- Hokkaido, Kyoto, etc. generous with pork topping on Cha-Shu and attentive service .

Tristan Jones

Excellent ramen and gyoza ! Spicy ramen is super tasty, with firm noodles and perfect soft boiled egg . Very slow service for us, though, so don't come super hungry.

Christina Chin

Huge helping, got the first chasu ramen (kome I think), love the crispy pork medallions . Super filling for one person

Adrien

Solid Ramen in E. Village . Tried the excellent Shio Cha Shu Ramen — not the best in the area though. Comes with large amount of toppings, almost hard to finish :)

Kara T

The vegetarian broth options were full of flavor and filling! (Also adding shrimp + tofu was a good call). No wait on a Thursday night- Definitely will be back!

Hillary Yuan

this place can do no wrong. broths are intense & flavorful. lunch special is $10 (excludes gyoza on weekends tho) - get the kome miso .

Abhinav Sharma

One of the best Miso ramens in the city , with a perfectly boiled egg .

Ajit Verghese

RS says: Try the Powder Snow Ramen . "Exceptional pork , 3 types of miso . Broth is made w/ pork & chicken bone, garlic , ginger , and seaweed kelp. Try grated parmesan / pat of butter on top of ramen ."

Village Voice

When this place opened it wasn't exactly the hottest spot. That is, until it filled with Japanese expats who clearly recognized something great. Specializing in regional miso , it rivals even Ippudo .

Jackie Hon

If you like thick broth and chewy ramen noodles this is the place!...The cha-shu ramen and the curry tonkontsu ramen are my favorites.

Brian Erickson

Cool how they really take pride in explaining the different types of ramen , but wouldn't wait in the long line again. Really nice wait staff .

Omer Zach

Great egg , good noodles , meh broth. The chicken katsu ramen was cool but not sold on the curry flavor they add to the broth with it.

Time Out New York

The Misoya chain, which was founded just outside Tokyo in Chiba, focuses on different regional styles of miso ramen—the shiro variety is typical of Kyoto. Read more

Specializes in miso . Tips say to try to the shiro miso char siu - combines sweet shiro miso broth with crispy fried tofu , pork loin , scallions and egg noodles .

Jeffrey Wu

It’s not Ippudo but not far from it. The chau-sau (pork ) is actually more melt(y) than Ippudo’s . Wait as with most Asian joints in NYC is always “10-minutes.” But very good E. Village Ramen .

Jessie Williams

Spicy ramen , add pork , add butter and cheese , add miso egg , add extra noodles . Boom!

Jonathan Stein

Get a table by the front windows to watch all the East Village oddballs while eating some of the best ramen downtown.

Ina Li

Thick miso broth , full ingredients, rich flavors, amazing ramen experience.

Jessie Catana

Worth the wait. I had the Shiro Miso Cha Shu ramen which was great but I'm eager to come back and try other types.

Sara Jordan

Super filling and fun toppings. If you’re extra hungry, definitely start with a serving of karaage !

Dan Harrison

The Powder Snow (with butter and parmesan ) is intensely and delightfully rich. A nice departure from your standard ramen .

The Corcoran Group

Get the Snow Ramen , you won't find anything like it anywhere else..trust us.

Kate Furman

The snow ramen is unique and cheesy, unexpected for ramen . Mix that hunk of butter in the broth and savor the flavor.

Mikey Bonifacio

Use the Yelp check in to get extra Cha-Shu & egg ! Also add Snow to any bowl or Ramen (Butter & Parmesan ) for $1, trust me you'll thank me later!

Barton Smith

More on the cheaper, fast-food end of the spectrum with toppings like karaage chicken and fatty broths. You're not going out or going back to work after a bowl here.

Kal Ma

My veggie ramen ! Soup base is solid, additional veggies other than ramen is good as well .

Finley Bomer-Lawson

Small place and popular. It can be hard to get a table. The ramen portions are huuuuge and delicious.

Andrew Litvak

One of the best ramen spots in the city , and without the line you'll find at certain other venues...

Amanda S

Add butter. Trust me you won't regret it. Butter goes amazingly well with all three kinds of miso they have there.

Keith Kaplan

This place is a must. Do not get take out . Eat in. I got the Parmesan cheese ramen . So delicious.

Emily Manley

I’ve tried most everything and it’s all great!

Elie Bleier

Pork and tofu spicy ramen has a strange, unique texture. It might have too much oil, though at least the broth sticks to the noodles .
