The Obelisk (Cleopatra's Needle)

The history behind this obelisk is so great and that it found its way from ancient Egypt to Central Park is actually sort of mind-blowing! Definitely pay this spot a visit and really take it in!!

The north and east sides are the least weathered, with the best detail of the hieroglyphics, so make sure you walk around the obelisk

At night: Find a position around the obelix so that you can see a star or the moon right above the top of the obelix. Make a wish for yourself and someone you care about.

This radiates fertility, even in December the birds sing about it like no where else in the park . Even saw a hummingbird in the snow.
