The first flight of concrete stairs is the scariest, it gets much better/more scenic after that. Hike all the way to Coit Tower!
Make sure to stop by the secret garden on the left on the way up and on the right on the way down.

Cool series of staircases behind old houses. If you're lucky you'll see the resident parrots.
It is not that hard to go up the stairs! Took us only 20 minutes, and we are not that sporty
