One of the Bitter 'n' Twisted venues in the city . Serves pretty good food along with plenty of beers . Music on the weekend is a great mash of funk, hip hop and dance ...Oh, did I mention it's haunted?
Great atmosphere, great food. Quirky and original. Staff are very knowledgable about the choice of ales and drinks on sale. Bar service can be slow when all the staff are making cocktails though.
Theatre pub established in the late 19th century. A unique blend of period & funky style with original art , cozy spots for conversation while drinks are expertly crafted by seasoned mixologists
Brilliant place! Huge choice of reasonably priced cocktail . Try "Violet Tendancies" mmm! Music is soul, funk, a real mix. Great atmosphere. Get in early for a seat Fri/Sat.
Bar staff are very helpful- when I hesitated when ordering a drink I was provided with samples of some of the guest ales ! Great music & live events too, obviously.
Also one of the best pre-club bars . Always full of friendly people. Strangely standing outside is usually more interesting than staying indoors...weather permitting of course.
Historic pub beside the New Victoria Theatre . Good selection of ales and cocktails but prices very high.
Try the Artisan Cocktail created by me for our links to independent galleries and Birmingham creatives, it is not on the list-it is a secret just for us.
Lovely pub , central and cosy. Nice cocktails , good food, turns into a night club later with good atmosphere
Nice atmosphere, great craft beers . Service is great in the day but can be shockingly bad when they're busy.
Beer was good, menu looked amazing for speciality Burgers and Pizzas . The Stilton Burger looks amazing !
Brooklyn larger and Kirin Ichiban on tap make this place pretty amazing. The soul food is great too.
Nicer to come in the afternoon as it's a lot less crowded .
Cozy pub with cool murals inside, Sunday roast was really good... :)
Vicky's Kitchen menu is good: lovely sourdough pizza . Very friendly staff too.
Friendly pub , good range of cask ale on, handy for the station. Enjoyable.
Great range of beers & they will let you try a couple to find the one you want.
Decor, drink, food, toilets , great place all round
The food / beverages here are things of beauty. Pulled pork :O
Good selection of beer and whisky
3 different veggie options on the main soul food menu!

Helpful and nice staff but lousy DJs . Music on fridays is specially bad. Better try one of the bars nearby.
Great atmosphere and music .
Try the Hush Puppies , delicious.
Pricey . Usually decent selection of beers
great pub , excellent range of ales
Get here early if you want get in at the weekends...
Often have really interesting talks and gigs on upstairs.
Beer & music selection
Grab a burger with a pint.
Check out the whisk(e)y of the month!
Super fly music
Drum and bass, in your face!
Sweet potato wedges . Buy all of them.
Loads of guest ales but Butty Bach a firm favourite
The Cajun Fish is yummy, :)
Jaipur is a pretty decent IPA . Leave the car at home though
Beware the upstairs toilet , on quiet nights it gets locked, sometimes with you in it.
Free WIFI in the bar
Brooklyn lager or Mad Goose are regular favourites
Vanilla margarita . Amazing.
check out cocktail of the week
try an old fashioned by alex the bar manager. Good stuff
The music on Fridays is way too loud . Bring earplugs.
Try the soul food ;)
They don't sell Guinness
Avoid the weirdos!!

Good for alternative music nights, not too many scene kids, always a good sign - Rhodri Jones
Great beer, and the huge slices of sausage roll are epic - Benjamin Collins
