Mee goreng . Ali Baba #01-20 serves a big plate for $3.50. Generous with ingredients too, including mutton bits, cabbages , bean sprouts , caixin, onions , cucumbers , egg . Overall fulfilling dish

Fishball noodles . 潮阳 #01-24 is a favourite with residents & office workers nearby. Teochew-style & full of flavours accentuated by their aromatic pork lard oil

Fried kway teow . Fen Xiang Fried Kway Teow #01-21 sees long queues during lunchtime & usually sells out by 1pm. Plate of CKT was yummy although it lacks any 'wok hei' for all that fire in the kitchen

Curry puffs . Actual Malay name is "epok epok". Epok Epok Central #01-09 offers 3 filling types: potato , sardines (40-cents ea), or egg (60-cents ea). Stall is also popular for Nasi Lemak & Malay kueh

Seats facing the field has a wonderful view for you to eat and enjoy #ThomtoriEats

Fried carrot cake (chai tow kway ). 顺利萝卜糕 #01-26 is the more popular stall among residents although I find the serving here bland and very thin on eggs

Yong tau foo : Eunos YTF #01-36 stands out for 2 things: wide selection of items, & speedy service. They hv some unique & tasty creations too

The Kacang Pool is obviously a rare find in Singapore.

Laksa & Lor Mee #01-25 welcomes regulars to their namesake. Breakfast spot ; usually sold out by noon

Hokkien Noodles from the stall (new) closest to the Taoist altar. Average. $4.

Nice to see $2 dishes here when the rest of Singapore's meal cost $3 and up

Char Kway Teow with healthier oil. 500 cal. Middle row, closest to the dessert stall . Average.

Lots of good Malay food here.

There is some really decent (probably delicious too) Chicken Rice at MING XIANG CHICKEN RICE 明香雞飯 (#01-11).
