Taste of Shanghai

For me, Xiaolongbao is a must try at a Shanghai restaurant . Luckily, I had some delicious xiaolongbao here, will come again.

Great food - the xiao long bao and pork pancakes are my favourites. :o) Service is super-fast, and the joint is a whole lot less pretentious than neighbouring Din Tai Fung . Definitely recommended.

Look at the color u can tell the soup is not that good & not so worthy for the price just because it's named "Shanghai" ???

The soup dumplings aren't soupy enough. I've had better. The dumplings in chili sauce was good. But the dumplings in soup was the better of the 3.

Taste of dishes are not so authentic even if the restaurant is running by Asians people, but portions are big and cheap .

Try the Fried Mini buns - Comes with condensed milk , but need to ask for more

The chilli eggplant and pork hotpot sauce is more sweet than spicey , so avoid if you're looking for hotness - still very enjoyable.

Be precise when you order. We ordered 2 plates, one arrived in 30m, after 10m we asked the staff for the second plate. We followed up 4 more times before told we order only 1 plate. ok food, WOFTAM. 

Xiao long baos are good. Other food not so great. Cutlery is oily all round they don't wash the plates well here. Watermelon shake is diluted

The garlic bamboo chicken is good!! Punchy garlic with a bit of chili kick!!!

2% surcharge on cards.

When they say it will take 5 - 10mins for a table they mean 20-30mins. Even longer for the food. If your starving or in a hurry, go elsewhere..

The best dumplings !!!! way better than Din Tai Fail.

After a year, decided to give it a 2nd chance. The verdict remains the same - service is still crap, the noodles are too salty and overcooked. Quality of food is terrible.

Good alternative to Din Tai Fung if the lines are too long..!!

Waited almost 40mins for pan fried pork buns ...I could have made them myself in the time it took! Don't eat here if you are in a rush.

Food quality mediocre. Watch out for dumplings - raw meat alert! Exception of one waitress , d rest of the staff at tis establishment appeared to hav graduated from d University of the Uncouth.

This is not the place to visit if you are in a rush. Otherwise, food was ok.

Suckers for varieties beware: huge portions ! Food mediocre, none rave worthy.
