Friendly place. Nice bar while you wait. Order the fish , ribs and link. Those were great. Coleslaw surprisingly good. Pulled pork is a maybe. Avoid the brisket and macaroni/cheese.
Stick to the meats at this down home BBQ spot, located at the base of Bernal Heights. Ribs , brisket and chicken are especially good. Read more
The banana pudding is tremendous. It's not pudding on any airs.
One of the best BBQ places I've been too! If you're looking to eat a lot of meat AKA gain mass AKA get HUGE - I highly recommend this place for post-workout.
Super friendly service . Good BBQ - coleslaw and Mac and cheese were very good. Pigs candy worth a try for a sweet spin on bacon .
Ribs , cornbread , and mac/cheese (good cheeses , if watery) fantastic. Brisket only ok. Great sauces (had all including the xxx) reasonably hot with good flavor. Portobello sandwich bit disappointing.
This place opens earlier than the bars in the area. This makes for a good first stop for eats before a night of bar hopping.
The Houndog Brisket & Ribs combo with Mac & Cheese side was great. The best BBQ food I've eaten!
Ribs . Try all the sauces and lick your fingers. Get cornbread and smashed potatoes on the side. Wash down with beer
The okra is to die for. Also the hot sauces . ????
Props for the decor. Very down home feeling.
This place has some of the service staff in SF! The food is actually as good as food from the south unlike other BBQ places in town .
Amazing mixed meat platter. Pulled pork out of this world.
Baby back ribs & beef brisket . Tasty, but a bit dry. Go for the house BBQ sauce & the bbq shrimp .
Really tasty. Get the okra as a side. Sauces are amazing. Try them all and mix them too!
Got brisket - it was cut with the grain, not against (50/50 chance of them getting it right :P.)They ran out of iced tea and lemonade at 7pm on a hot Saturday. Avoid the cornbread also.
They have a great beer list .
Very good meat. Get a platter and share with someone. Friendly staff .
4 Grilled Tiger shrimp starter. Yummy- ask for the spicy remoulade on the side
Great BBQ , Beer , and service. Very family friendly
Great ribs in laid back setting
The platinum blonde waitress/bartender is really sweet! Friendly , unpretentious service here.
Mashed potatoes , beef brisket , collard greens , and corn bread are amazing!
Try the blu balls (actual menu name "the Dylan" - meatballs with blue cheese embedded
Try the Baby Back Ribs And Beef Brisket - :) (via @Foodspotting)
Pulled park with garlic vinegar and jalapeño ginger BBQ sauce is the jam
Friendly service . Radeberger and Guinness on tap . Nice mellow vibe and lighting.
We love the famous "hybrid" style of Baby Blues - Memphis-style ribs with a sauce that hails from North Carolina. Plus it's even better when enjoyed with a Trumer!
Decent Q, especially for San Francisco. However if you dine in, all your clothes will smell like you were the one who was smoked
Get some corn bread and the"Easy rider" beef brisket + pulled pork - the roll on home!
Cycling cred, big meat and a what's-not-to-like wine list in one.
Beef brisket with homemade jalapeño vinegar is insane. Wash it down with an ice cold Shiner Bock !
Leopard-woman is not a Leopard, but rather a Cheetah. In fact, her name is Cheetarah. This tip will make sense once she's your server; I promise.
Memphis Ribs are great...try all the different sauces available to you
On a date? Big Blue for two is just right. Wash down with multiple Shiners . Follow with multiple Tums. Life is good.
Get 3 meats and share them with your SO.
Alexia is the truth. Sit by the bar . Thank me later.
Feed bags and beer pitchers for 8 or more people.
Great mac and cheese and beef brisket . There is also one in LA that has awesome appetizers
Try the XXX sauce and get ready for the "ring of fire." The best lunch deals are on the back of the menu. $3 all you can drink sweet tea .
Ate the Baby Back Ribs with some baked beans and collard greens . the greens were aight, but the rest was pretty damn good. can't wait to go back
Excellent!!! Food was delicious
The twosome is the best. With a side Caesar. Yum.
The best place to go on an empty stomach in town !!! Case in point....
Not Kansas City BBQ . Very Southern. Low smoke. You get to choose your sauces. Good spare ribs . Good greens. Potato salad was bland. Good sauces
Yummy, yummy, yummy!
Delicious delicious ribs
$2 for good beer , $1 for PBR during happy hour !
Smoked salmon was tasty.
