The end of the Mall nearest Kenmore Sq is often empty in the morning, and it's a great place to sit with a cup of coffee and a good book to start the day.
Wonderful tree-lined, middle of the street, yet spacious green park along Comm Ave near the Common... few memorials and statues , some benches , etc along the way!
Scenic views of the brownstone architecture of the Back Bay ; statues of various American notables; a nice respite from the Newbury Street madness.
A walk along the Promenade here is so relaxing because of the beautiful views offered by the architecture and statues . Plenty of benches to rest on as well .
So romantic ! In the winter the trees are lit up and it is so beautiful, even more with a little snow fall!

This is a park that runs parallel to Newbury St, if you want a break from all the people walking on the main shopping street.

An out of towner asked me where the mall is today. This is a pedestrian mall not a shopping mall to eliminate confusion. A park !
