Martyrs' Shrine

One of my favorite spots in Taipei (when there aren’t too many tourists around). Enjoy the classical Chinese architecture set against nature, and learn about the (very complex) history of the ROC.

Fascinating arch reminiscent of a Ming Dynasty Imperial Palace .B sure 2 check out d main hall & stick around 4d changing of d guards ceremony which occurs on d hr between 9am-4pm.

Guards Shift Change happens at 1pm sharp. Do try to make it at that time. It's a wonderful ceremony to witness.

Lovely shrine outside central Taipei, rather crowded by Chinese tourists . Don't miss the hourly change of guards ceremony . Secure a spot in the courtyard as ceremony will first take place there.

Another place that historians should not miss. Theres a lot to see and learn here. At least 2 hourscan be well soent here.

正門から本堂まで床に伸びている茶色の長い跡は、衛兵の歩く跡です。毎日の積み重ねで、この部分だけが劣化しています。

MRT淡水 線圓山 站下車しタクシー で約5分、または忠烈祠バス停 下車。衛兵交代式：9:00以降正時ごとに開始、所要時間約20分。衛兵は兵役中（期間1年10ヶ月）の各軍選抜エリートで構成される。陸軍は緑色、海軍は白色、空軍は青色の制服。

交代式ももちろん見所ですが、中華民国建国の歴史を描いた26枚の絵も必見です。

朝イチで行っても兵隊さん目当ての人が多い、それよりもこのスポット名読み方が分からん
