The Met is a vibrant hotel always teaming with people, like Las Vegas, it never stops. The lounge bar is a special place albeit a little expensive you won't find an atmosphere anywhere else like it!

A good place to stay if you're going to an event on the NEC site. 10 minutes walk from Birmingham International . Rooms are clean and comfortable , and the bar is a good place to relax in.

Large size Hilton perfect events at the NEC.Hotel starting to look at little dated now but still good.If can upgrade to executive you get access to the lounge with food and drink on offer each night.

Courtesy shuttle bus won't take wheelchairs unless the user can transfer up a high step & the chair can be folded. Taxi to the station £6. Best wheel over to the NEC the back way (during the day).

Be very aware of the lines in the car park . Even if you and others get Into the lines you may struggle to enter the car from either drivers or passenger doors to the point you are stuck!

Here for work; excellent food at dinner time, drinks on the pricy side of acceptable, rooms a little small but suitable. Big venue, well kept. 4/5

Check your sheets (had blood dry-cleaned into mine once), alarm (they don't put all the clocks back), bathroom (1 friend broke ribs due to missing mat) & laptop safe (often damaged) before unpacking.

If you attend a conference only just ask the receptopn for the free wifi code for the lobby area!

New year ... New menu ... And it's actually pretty awesome... Try the eat healthy section... Delicious and light, good for a late supper!

£4.70 for a medium latte at the Costa bar in reception- The single most expensive coffee I have ever been served - in a cardboard cup- anywhere in the world!

Afternoon Tea is pants, not worth the effort or the parking charge! Park on resorts world it's cheaper!

Great location for Genting Arena, about five min walk. Large bar , pizza wasn't great, but the burger was good.

£21.50 for a sub standard burger and pint of supermarket lager . Rooms don't have enough plug sockets, beds are pokey, decor outdated and the shower is absolutely laughable. I'd get wetter in the rain.

Avoid hefty car park charges by getting the train and free shuttle is from Birmingham International station (behind taxi rank)

Only 8 wheelchair-accessible rooms in a hotel of 800 rooms. This includes none of the single rooms & you'll have to fight to get an "accessible" booking honoured, however far in advance you book .

Nice hotel but sadly being dwarfed by a huge casino going in next door

Hilton burger cheese and bacon was good. But £16. Service was friendly and chatty

Be aware, its the NEC. There are no local pubs or restaurants , so beer and food are expensive . You are trapped. Its mostly set up for conferences , so everyone is on expenses and probably doesn't care

Car park is too small for the number of rooms in the hotel , a space is not guaranteed. If you have any choice you might want to arrive earlier rather than later to avoid circling aimlessly!

Can't believe they have the cheek to charge £7.50 for a single measure of Baileys. Unbelievable and disgusting thievery!!!

Super expensive coffee in costa concession, £15 for parking is a lot too for a self employed attending a conference .

This hotel is a conference and wedding reception hotel . At times it gets very busy. NEC is within walking distance. Car parking is chargable. Staff multi lingual. Management could be better.

50 yds from Exec lounge and iPhone 5 can't detect any wifi network at all. Wouldn't care but it should be free for Diamond members!

Chili prawns starter in Millers Bar is fab.

If you've any special dietary needs , don't eat here. During my stay in August '12 they had 3 things on all the restaurants ' menus that I could eat, and had none of the 3 in stock all weekend.

Afternoon tea for two with champagne , lots of cakes , very few sarnies ...

Bar prices are extortionate! £4.80 for a pint of soft drink ! Crazy!

My HHonor tier status was respected & the exec lounge , nice. No issues here.

Always check your room. Check clean sheets and window locks. I have had to change room more than once because of these!

Beware the Costa prices in the lobby - almost double that of the high street shops.

If u want a quiet drink in the bar then this is the wrong hotel , always full of black tie events .

Don't bother with the bar/lounge food. Hugely overpriced and really badly cooked. You never expect hotel bars to be reasonably priced, but in all the hotels we've stayed in this must be the worst!

Chocolate cake in the lobby bar is incredible! Staff are incredibly nice there!

Food portions in the lobby bar are very generous & reasonably priced. Basic bar-style food but really good The bar doesn't need to be too busy to have some atmosphere. Food service was speedy.

Shocking prices at the bar and some extremely rude staff (but also some very lovely ones) Rooms aren't anything to write home about, much prefer Premier Inns for comfort. Sadly can't recommend.
