This is an hidden gem . I'm very very picky when it comes to sushi and I was a little bit sceptical at the beginning. I was wrong: the quality of the nigiri is exceptional, and yet very affordable !
Really good prices on sushi rolls . We had variety and all were very good, especially the green caterpillar roll ! Moderate prices on the beer . Pretty quiet even when busy.
Classic sushi and temperamental staff , or you love or you hate it. I love it. Sakana tempura is a classic, as well as nuta, and Sakana crispy roll .
All of the sushi is fantastic, but definitely try the yellowtail nigiri and the eel nigiri . So fantastic.
My second favorite sushi in the city . The lunch wait staff can hover around order and check time, but they are still kind, and the food is worth it.
If you're looking for a quiet mid afternoon lunch - Yum! This place has both atmosphere, pleasant staff , and great sushi !
The salmon is the freshest I've had! Great veggie rolls
Very good sushi for being such a small establishment!! Had the spicy versions of the Spider and Sakana California rolls ...yum!!
Cute little Japanese place. Great udon and noodle soups . Chirasi sushi
Good food and friendly service . Price is raisonable as well . Convenient location
Delicious, authentic , and reasonably priced!
Probably the best sushi in town , especially for the price!
Best sushi in DC - located in DuPont Circle
The reviews are correct, dismal service I rank the food 3.5/5. Sushi , looked and tasted fresh, the only part I liked
Good fresh sushi !
Crazy hot roll, Sakana tempura roll , and the fried oyster roll. You won't be disappointed!
Order the sakana tempura sushi roll ...its super delicious
No doubt the best sushi in Dupont. Nigiri and rolls are delicious, especially the Sakana Tempura roll and Crazy Roll . Get it HOT!!
The chirashi was cheap but not nearly as much fish I had expected. Mediocre fish but enough to satisfy a craving
Best sushi place in DC
Crowded , loud , delicious.
Great sushi spot in DuPont .
Best sushi in DC - take thet trip downstairs and enjoy!
Great sushi no frills! Yumm!
Great dc sushi spot !
Ok sushi , not ok service. Hope this isn't DCs best, as some tips stated .... Yikes. My tip is try a different place!
Food is ok ,but management is bad in busy hour, they do not accept reservation but ,the waitress allow Japanese to skip the long queue ,i suppose this is how japanese show their arrogance
Go to Sakana and get the grilled eel .
Service is horrible and the food is just ok.
Bad service. Period.
Try the Yuzu Sour. So refreshing! Also, lunch here is the best value in town. - ᴡ Steiner
Crazy hour is the best deal around, great outdoor seating, great drinks, love the calamari and the chicken fried rice. - Alexandra Brown
Prices are now $1.50 per piece for most nigiri, but still well worth it. I recommend the white tuna, sea scallop, and my fav, lobster among the $1.50 pieces. The hamachi and uni r more but yummy. - Alan Rosenblatt
A perfect spot for breakfast/lunch. Good coffee (the Latte is huge), nice house sodas and great Red Velvet cake. Try Cuban sandwich! - Sasha Tkachenko
Great for hanging out, and a nice shortcut for navigating the maze of streets. - Stephen Victor
Great live music ( Braddock Station Garrison), great beer selection and all in stock, top notch food for a bar. Definitely a great place to check out - Melissa Long
