La Bagh Woods (Cook County Forest Preserve)

Good reading spot away from people in the spring/summer/fall. A lot of noise coming from Edens express way highway traffic and the o'hare aircraft approach patterns overhead for two runways, however.

The graffiti bridge is in the middle of the park .

Great escape from the city , and surprisingly secluded once you’re inside!

Perfect for a hike , some birdwatching , saw mink tracks in the snow. Ongoing habitat restoration is improving wildlife counts.

Last week of April the forest floor is like green carpet. Beautiful!!

Great spot for a lunch break or a midday picnic .
