Great lambrusco sangrias in the summer and a nice selection of beers . Make sure you get Bree as your waitress , she is a sweetheart. As for Frankie, the cranky fellow by the door, keep your distance!
This designated landmark , built in 1880, was a speak-easy throughout Prohibition and a seaman's bar until the late 1940s. During the 1950s, it became a popular meeting place for artists and writers.
Dating back to 1880, the White Horse Tavern was a center of bohemian culture in the '50s and '60s , as a favorite of Dylan Thomas , Jack Kerouac , James Baldwin, and others. - From Eater NY

This establishment stays open purely for its rich history and not for its food or drinks. Great outdoor space but their food is prepackaged and their drinks are over priced, even by NY standards.

Good place to grab a drink in west village . Not fancy . Outdoor sitting .
The fare was about what I expected - bar food and macrobrews - but the tables outside were super wobbly and it felt like we were packed in like sardines.
Great place for a quick drink. I've frequented for 42 years
Trying out the new spin on this place. Some beer is now $10.
Great bar - great beer - great juke box ... Hopefully you won't get table service from Taylor... Horrendously miserable individual...
Grab a beer sit outside and then go inside to get some cash bc it's cash only ! :P
Sit outside, after sundown, and order a frosty mug of beer ...you'll thank me later!
A great place to have a few outdoor beers when the weather permits. The beer selection is limited but not offensive. Steer clear of the food unless it's an emergency.
