It was really cool to read the plaque . This was an early desegregated carousel first riden by a black child on the same day MLK gave his "I have a dream" speech on the mall .
My hubby proposed to me here in Feb. 2011... look for the purple saddle and greyish black house! it was $2.50 to ride then
No lines during the week, at least in fall.
When a ride is 3.50/person and a water ice is 3, it's a better deal to get the water ice.
$3.5/ride is not too bad, esp. considering we were 5 adults, lol
