By far the best Greek food in the District with generous portions and reasonable prices. My faves are the spanakopita and the pastitsio. Know what you want before you get to the register.

This is an awesome Greek lunch spot . Try the minced meatballs and a Greek salad . Owned by a Greek family that knows what they're doing

daily specials are all great, but usually sell out quickly. A+ gyros and lamb . go for the platters: crusty, buttery homemade bread , orzo , and incredible olive-oil soaked green beans & stewed tomatoes

Be prepared to wait in line at lunchtime for this takeout only gem. You can't go wrong, even if they run out of your first or second choice. I ordered delicious Greek meatballs (with orzo and salad ).

Be sure to know what you want when you step up to the counter. At busy times they don't have patience for you to stare at the menu while the line is behind you. They have lots of great selections.

Do not miss this place, if in the area. Come early (preferably on a rainy day) or be prepared to stand in line . This is hands down, the best comfort food (delicious Greek!) around.

Regularly got the Gyro + Soup when I worked close. Avgolemono worth making a special trip for, excellent lentil soup . Mouthwatering platter specials. Great spot for home-style Greek takeaway !

The Avgolemono soup is a perfect cure for anything that ails you: cold, flu, hangover...it cures all.

The famous Gyro is famous for a reason. Also chicken version great.
