Beautiful palace and the Queen's official residence in the summer. The audio tour is amazing as it goes into the details of every room. Many cool original artifacts in here, like Mary of Scott's bed!

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts

In the company of a guide, groups may enjoy a private tour of the State Apartments before the Palace opens to visitors for the day, a unique opportunity to go 'behind the ropes' in selected rooms.

Go early or go late. Give yourself an hour and a half. More to see here than any other Royal Residence. A Tip - check if the Queen is local, if so, you won’t get in. Right beside a great park too!

Yarn Lam

Fantastic audio tour (free with your ticket) which lets you learn about every room at leisure. No photos allowed inside (it’s a working palace after all) but exhibits are really fascinating.

Danny Baptiste

Very beautiful place that is still being used by the royal family when they are in Scotland. Beautiful royal artifacts from the scotch royal history.

Holyrood is the Royal palace in Edinburgh. It was Mary Queen of Scots home, where she married both Lord Darnley and the Earl of Bothwell.  Her secretary, David Riccio, was murdered in her rooms.

Best guided audio tour of any of the Scottish castles so far. Well kept and plenty of access. Only wish it was possible to go more around outside, but understandable there’s need for restrictions

A great self guided audio tour . A tight squeeze in some spots (stairs) but worth the effort. The abbey and the gardens are nice as well .

Aviel Livay

The restrooms are located at the end of the tour next to the gift shop at the entrance to the gallery . The staff will try to hide this fact from you and send you back to the palace . Insist!

Не забудьте поставить штамп на билете , если он куплен непосредственно в кассах Дворца, - тогда он будет действителен в течение 12 месяцев. Отличный повод вернуться в Шотландию ;-)
