Beautiful park near the heart of Edinburgh providing great views of the city and surrounding area. Lovely place for running if you don't mind some hills !
Hike up to the old church ruins, then up to Arthur's Seat summit, write with the stones and walk down the steep steps to the meadow and hike up the cliffs edge! Free parking by St. Margaret's Loch
Normally the type who prefers a comfortable pub to hiking but I had to begrudgingly admit to my girlfriend at the top of the hill that the climb is totally worth the view .
Fabulous and epic views of Edinburgh and nearby coast. Love it, walk to the top?!
The spectacular sightseeing views from the top encompass the whole city all the way to the mouth of the Forth.
Follow a night of Ceilidh and fireworks with New Year's Day dog sledding in Holyrood Park or an ice cold bath off Loony Dock. – Green Guide Editor

Demanding hike and sort of dangerous right at the top if it's very windy. It's literally rocks, no steps, no railings, nothing to hold onto.
Get to the lake in the top of the hill , and take a panoramic photo(s) wont regret.
The view of Edinburgh was outstanding!
Awesome plase to see the city from above...! ;)
