Pretty much everything is good. From the appetisers I usually go for Kara-age, gyoza , agedashi tofu , vegetable tempura and yakitori . Good green tea . Friendly , informal. Manchester is lucky to have it
The only authentic japanese restaurant in Manchester . Soothing jazz atmosphere, the tempura is good quality and the sashimi is very fresh. Variety of different sake exceeds the amount of food!
Excellent sashimi and gyoza . The food and Saki were unfortunately not matched by the service. A bottle of Saki turned into a jug and after a long wait , the mains arrived before the starters.
High % of Japanese clientele showing how authentic and popular. Gyoza and yakitori to start. Chicken Katsu also very good. Sushi and tempura was ok.
Love this place, would definitely recommend the kara-age and the gyoza . The chef has just won an award so it's much busier than last time we came!
Excellent food. Well priced. Highly recommended the sashimi and chicken starters . Great guest beers as well . Recommended
Totally authentic Japanese food . The sashimi was as fresh as can be. Will definitely be coming back if we’re ever in Manchester again!
The grilled salt-marinated seabream is very very good albeit small for £15 but is cooked to perfection. I just wish there were more daily specials !
Great little cool place. At the least have some green tea and the really yummy gyoza . At the least.
The chicken kara age starter is fantastic. Sashimi was also excellent, as was the tonkatsu .
Quite simply the most authentic Japanese food you'll find in the north west! The yakitori is as good as i've had outside of Tokyo
Super authentic Japanese food ! Kaisendon is highly recommended!
The best Tonkatsu I've had outside of Japan. Check out the lunch menu for dishes around £7.
Amazing Gyoza . Best I've ever had. Great value for money too.
Excellent lunch and service:-) !
Lunch time menu was fantastic! Gorgeous presentation, brilliant taste and a very good atmosphere.
Organic salmon donburi , watami salad , vegetable tempura - simply amazing!
Very cozy atmosphere . Better reserve a table.
The pork udon is to die for.
Authentic , affordable & delicious Japanese food
Gyoza . Yakitori . Chicken Katsu . Authentic .
Easily the best japanese restaurant in manchester...great food and service try the gyoza it's sublime
Beware going as a couple. We were sat at a bench starting at a plank of wood with 2 strangers so close they were elbowing me. And they were out of 3 of the 4 dishes we tried to order.
Salmon teriyaki is fantastic!
Gyoza was good, but the tonkatsu didn't live up to its potential (half of it was batter). Staff isn't that attentive. Had to get up a few times to get their attention.
The gyoza was really good.
This is the ONLY 1 authentic Japanese restaurant in Manchester ! I should know bcuz Im Japanese :-)
Best Japanese in Manchester ( I presume!)
Best gyoza I've ever had - bar none
Not authentic - had the meguro don which came with the smallest portion of rice and the tempura don where the tempura batter was thick like fish and chips batter. Very odd. Not good.
Food was great. Traditional Japanese. Service was poor - slow, starter we didn't get, etc. Despite great food probably won't be back soon.
Most AUTHENTIC japanese restaurant in mcr
Teriyaki salmon is the best????
Try the Chicken Katsu Set - Rice tasted like chewing gums & chicken smelt good!
Plays some nice relaxed Jazz too!
Brilliant. Best sashimi for miles.
Good teriyaki salmon
Gyoza , kare age
Teriyaki Salmon !
Manchester's best kept secret... Shhh... It is amazing ;p
The yakitori is lovely. Oishii!
Lovely Japanese green tea
Do not go unless you have plenty of time- 35 min after we ordered, no food, no water - no one to ask because waitress disappeared! No good...
Waitress just told me, "I'm sorry I can't serve you water, I'm too busy. " what the fuck?!
If you are a vegetarian be careful - they use fish stock in most dishes
日本食が恋しくなったら、ここはいいですね。日本と同じ味が味わえます♫
Go for the £15 buffet with a pot of green tea! Ask for more of the mackerel and eel! Yums! - Philip Hanes
Nice Japanese restaurant, try the combo roast with san men or grilled salmon or seafood ramen - Swemeatballs .
Amazing cocktails. Lobster tempura was delicious. Crispy duck pancakes and vegetables tempura also super nice. Enjoy whilst hot. - Ish Rai
Amazing value sushi at lunchtime. All plates £1 from the belt! All really tasty! - Mo Dettes
Good place to meet with friends or just chill, eat lunch, etc. - Stephen Kennedy
