Wonderful outdoor venue to listen to a concert . That said you won’t see too much from the lawn seats.

Before your trip to Chicago, look up which free events are taking place here and make time to attend! They are almost always excellent!

Check out the concerts or movies in the park over the summer!! They usually start at 6 or 6:30 and last until 8ish. Bring a blanket and a bottle of wine and enjoy!

This place is AWESOME!!! I Totally Recommend This Venue For Concerts ... Not A Bad Seat Anywhere and The Sound Is GREAT!!!

There was live music ... and you could hear it many blocks away!!! Love the open-air style amphitheatre and grassy area for extra seating!

If you're in the lawn, sit as close as you can. In the back, you can't hear the music over people clinking their glasses and getting publicly drunk.

Perfect night spent! Gather up your classy friends! Bring some elegant wine bust out your meat and cheese boards . Drink, Veg out, laugh, listen and enjoy the beauty that emulates from the stage

It's a great place to watch concerts and movies in the park ! If you're sitting on the lawn, arrive early!

Fantastic for dates! It seems like there’s a different festival every week and it’s close to the beautiful Maggie Daley park . Highly recommend.

The view from the choral balcony (inside looking out) is quite extraordinary, especially when you've been on the outside looking at the stage.

Summer concerts are always on point! Get there early to get a prime spot on the lawn.

There are plenty of FREE concerts put on by the City of Chicago during the summer time. Grab a blanket and make a picnic out of it! Yes open alcohol is allowed in Millenium park !

Open space , community feel it adds when concerts & movie in the park events are happening. It's Chicago's cultural hub.

Get a picnic blanket and sit out under the sky for a concert . Nice setup buried in millennium park just east of the water walls.

On select weekday evenings, rock, pop, and indie performers take the stage as part of the Downtown Sound and Loops and Variations programs.

Unfortunately I couldn't see any event , but you should look for the next events , amazing place!

This place has a nice, big lawn for picnics while listening to performances .

It's not a real Chicago summer if you don't see a show here at least once.

Chaka Khan performed live, along with opening act Funkadesi. Two really nice performances !

During this summer I was fortunate to watch an orchestra play Mozart. Amazing! Totally recommend it.

New Music Mondays has some of the best independent bands perform during the summer. If the band is popular, make sure to come early.

I prefer the one in bilbao, Spain (Guggenheim). However, do not miss it, it is gorgeous.

The classical summer concerts are always packed but the jazz concerts every Thursday in July and August are just as good with much smaller crowds.

Can't see anything on stage from way back in the grass but the skyline makes up for it.

Check out the Grant Park Muisc Festival in the summertime. Some of the best classical & world music in the nation.

Bring a bottle of your own wine and cups. They allow you to byob , even saw people bring pizza and snacks .

Sitting in the grass. Viewing the skyline at dusk & beyond. Enjoying the company of friends. Priceless!

Amazing free concert series this summer. I've seen Son Lux and My Brightest Diamond (with Chicago Youth Symphony!) this month

The trellis supports the sound system , which spans the 4,000 fixed seats and the Great Lawn, which accommodates an additional 7,000 people.
