Best to go during off peak hours...otherwise this place gets crowded with impatient mothers that will run you over with their carts if you don't get out of their way! Good market otherwise
Salmon Steak , Arabic Labne, carob covered raisins , Truffle Cheese - they have the items you can't find elsewhere. Olive Oil tasting downstairs and olive bar upstairs are both excellent!
They have sushi rice in the organic section or asian products corner, and also have some kimchi on the shelf of kosher products.
Maine Wild Blueberry Crisp Gelato is made with milk from Maine farms , blueberries from Down East, vanilla beans from Madagascar, and crunchy oat streusel baked in Brunswick.
I really enjoy their pre-packaged foods. Great for a quick dinner . Memo liters are always super helpful. Try and go during off-peak hours as it can get really crowded .
Huge, well organized grocery store with everything you need. Crowded with lines but they move quickly.
Pedro (manager) acts as if he is on a POWER TRIP, as if being a manager is being GOD. He needs to make an effort to be kind and go out of his way to address customers' concerns/questions.
Forget Whole Foods , this place is faster, cheaper, and the quality looks as good.
Had one very positive and one very negative customer service experience here. Same about knowledge : 50/50 on them knowing exactly where your product is or having no idea. Great variety tho.
Pedro doesn't appreciate customers & does NOT seem to like working there either! He needs to learn how to be NICE & explain things in a courteous manner. Customer has a right to ask any questions
Best market in the neighborhood by far. Only Whole Foods Market is better, but more expensive for some things. Fairway has some bargains, but is getting more expensive all the time. #foodie
The crowds can be crazy on Saturdays but I'm used to it now. A whole lot of variety that I can't find anywhere else on the ues. They even have plantains !
Great prices and so many great products. Really nice service, too. Puts every grocery store in the neighborhood to shame. Step up your game, Food Emporium.
If the prevalent narrative is to be trusted New Yorkers are either ordering in or eating out all the time. The long checkout lines at this place flummox me hence.
This place has everything that you could possibly think that you might need! Loved it! Very organized too!!!!!
Whether you're looking to bake a homemade dessert or just want to have a bit of delicious dark chocolate , you can find SCHARFFEN BERGER Chocolate here!
Mr. Arthur in the meat dept. is very attentive to special requests,; Deli 's Joe goes above and beyond, and Kareem is a coffee whiz downstairs.
Their soups ... amazing!!! Roasted chickens are good, but watch for over-roasted ones, can be dry. Sweet, friendly , hard working cashiers .
Awesome market . And the most ridiculous selection of cheeses .
They take Apple Pay now!
Wonderful place to shop. Selection is down to the joys of life. Fellow shoppers could be a little nicer, social and maybe slow down a bit but the workers are friendly .
FairwayMarket I can't believe it, I found this little brown stone in your salad , and I think I ate more , not realizing those were actually stones !!!
Amazing service, fresh produce , helpful things for those shopping for one like loose lettuce by the pound.
If you get the cart that looks like you're pulling luggage around the supermarket , you are an asshole!
our favorite place to shop for groceries !! kosher butcher , big selection of kosher cheeses , and great fresh produce .
If you still go to D'Agostino's or Gristedes, you have no idea what you're doing. Also: Watch out for the insane Upper east side old ladies.
The best grocery store on the UES, but at peak times the crowds can be unbearable
ZocStar Romy loves Fairway because they have tons of great organic vegetables and dairy, and some good sustainable and kosher meat and fish options.
Free delivery when total bill is at least $120. Score!! :)
Vast selection of olive oil to sample with fresh Italian bread located on the lower level in front of the elevators .
great organic grass fed beef selection.
this place is massive and always crawling with people, but I actually prefer shopping here than whole foods . fresher produce and better prices.
They have the French mushy stuff from an over-fed goose who dies from her liver exploding. Delicious.
Love Fairway but they need to add more local produce ! You can't even get a local tomato or some Jersey corn in the summer.
Go in with a list, hope, and active elbows. You'll need all three to make it out alive.
Excellent full-service grocery on the Upper East Side.
It was great until they took the mashed potatoes off their menu. Across from the beacon and a great choice before a show.
Like any grocery store ... long lines , unhappy staff , but shelves are generally stocked and plenty of brand options!!!
Great selection. Decent prices. Lots of vegan items .
Nice market with a lot to select from, huge. Mostly crowded so weekends are out da question. Staff are mostly teenagers so u can expect a rude 1 or 2. Good prices but not worth going out your way for.
Great grocery store but it gets really crowded in here especially on the weekends.
Dutch cheeses at reasonable prices. And the vegetables are nice and fresh
I love Fairway ! Their house brand is great.
If you have to go on a weekend, go early to avoid the massive crowds and long lines .
Emptier time: Fri eve, Sat morn, Sun morn, Busy time: always, Express line is "not always" faster way to check out
I love this place, much cheaper than most groceries in the area.
We once saw Pedro (manager) talk smack about another customer to another employee. Pedro gives a DISGUSTING IMAGE to Fairway . A customer has right to ask ANYTHING to a manager, even STUPID questions.
sometimes when the express line is crazy long, the non express line is much shorter!
When they say open until 1am they mean open until 12:30 and then they lock the entrance
Go after ten on the weekdays, if you live in the area! Way less of a crowd.
The lobster ravioli is a must. Have tried finding it elsewhere and tried ordering it at various restaurants in the area, nothing compares such a treat and easy to make, excellent with vodka sauce. - Sarah Gravely
Huge selection of everything. Lots of local stuff. Fresh fruit and veggies. Helpful and nice staff - Faith Ryder
Easier to navigate than the nearby Fairway. There's a larger freezer section, as well. - Nina LoSchiavo
Beautiful place and views! Great place to have lunch or just get out of the city, while your still in it. - Momentous Promotions
Love the fact you can get a cold local brew from Brooklyn Brewery with your greasy goodness! - Jeff A
