Finally! A Whole Foods on the UES! Their produce department is massive! Overall, the store is a bit confusing with the layout and different floors, but I'm sure I'll get used to it in no time.
The little coffee shop quick eats setup at the entrance is great. It's isolated from the market and allows people who are there for coffee or quick food stay out of the way of people shopping.
Upstairs for produce and other groceries ...downstairs is more express and hot/cold bar that can be eaten in the cafe . Check out line is claustrophobic!
Organic, gluten free , lots of kale in every form imaginable. Prepared foods are good and can be consumed in the cafe in ten mezzanine level.
Love having one I can walk to finally. Detest the checkout process, winding lines make me think twice before subjecting myself to them.
Groceries upstairs and prepared foods downstairs. Not too crowded in the early mornings, at least so far. Happy to have WF on the UES!
Love the Mac and cheese and the chocolate pudding , like to work on my drawing upstairs
This Whole Foods has a smaller hot bar but the line moves pretty fast.
It's very spacious for a New York City grocery store . Has the great and varied selection you expect from Whole Foods
UES Cheese Club - $49.99 a month for artisanal cheeses , jams and crackers . I'm in!
Huge selection of everything. Lots of local stuff. Fresh fruit and veggies . Helpful and nice staff
They have great vegetables and fruits . Healthy and best quality products together. The market I always go to.
Glad to see way friendlier staff that care bout checking out customers in less than five min!
Seems smaller than the other locations in the city . But the multiple-level set-up makes the flow less cramped. The hot food order station and hot bars are a great option for a quick meal .
good store, all products are presented in a small assortment . there are pleasant discounts and offers
Great options to pick up pastries and flowers for last minute gifts and entertaining
Their salad/taco/pizza/sandwich station is amazing, complete with kiosks to place your order and pay ahead of time.
The produce and self-serve grains area is great!
The space is tight but smartly organized . Leave the cart, take a basket, and move along!!
Outside of this store, look for Biagi Gelato Pop-Up Cart and their vegan almond offering
Can’t believe I found Nandos sauces here! Therefore, any British people need to visit this Whole Foods.
For $50 purchase $10 off. Yayy! But I can say this whole foods look tiny comparing the others. Then again we were waiting for whole foods ages! Thank god we have it
Love this place. Spacious and the staff was so warm and Welcoming.
Why are pickles in 3 different sections? I have found the store to be too complicated of a layout for many foods!
Store is very organized . Found everything i needed. Will be back!
This is my favorite place in New York. Not kidding.
It's like Pavlov rang his bell & the whole Upper East Side came running. ????
Yes, it's a Whole Foods on the UES, but the service is East Harlem. Poor training leading to poor customer service & interactions. Also, stock rotation is slack, so look to the back for fresher stock.
The produce selection is very limited - with only standard lettuce/greens selections. They don't even carry standards like heads of cabbage or escarole , and mustard greens . Not a cook's grocery .
Products of the highest quality! My favorite grocery store !
Elevator situation is not optimal for anyone with a stroller or a walker. Fairway is more accessible.
Stopped by to pick up my Beets , Oatmeal , Mushroom , Spring Salad . Wonderful day!
The express line is almost never faster than the main checkout. Don't be fooled.
The seating is in a weird mezzanine level that is to the left of the exit
Love this place anytime I travel!
Don't look for aisle numbers there are none- must ask!
Nice store but limited selection and staff wasn't super helpful.
A small selection of DOUGH doughnuts are here.
Weird layout but it gets the job done
Good selection of organic foods
Seating area on the 2nd floor
To avoid crazy long lines on Sunday evenings, checkout at customer service
taqueria is amazing.
It is what I imagine a Whole Foods Express would feel like.
The staff here are lazy and rude at many of the food stations. Chelsea, Union Sq, Columbus Circle, Houston stores all so much better
My favorite supermarket
*faint* just live it here!
It has a rough layout, usually a mess.
weird layout . I'd come here for their prepared food (downstairs), but everything else is overpriced and hard to find.
I can never tell who's winning in the ever changing race with Fairway ?!..
ZocStar Romy loves Fairway because they have tons of great organic vegetables and dairy, and some good sustainable and kosher meat and fish options. - ZocDoc
Mediterranean hummus, Persian cucumbers and OJ are a must on every visit! - Danielle
The market has a large array of prepared foods. An outstanding meat, fish and pasta department. It is definetly worth the visit! - Roseann LoSchiavo
Great park to walk and bike. Enjoyable. Always something going on. Kayak, merry go round, zoo, concerts, playground - Angi W
Great selection (of wine and bourbon, at least) and smiling helpful folks. - L Erskine
