The Documentation Center was built in 1965 as the parish of the Reconciliation Church. Beginning in 1999 the church parish made most of this new building available to the memorial to use as its Documentation Center. A new viewing platform was also added at this time.

A wonderful display of the history of the Wall and Germany's split. Go to the top of the tower for a great view of the site and a section showing the extent of the border's width.
from the memorial place of the berlin wall, walk east direction to the great Mauerpark
Cool museum to fully see what a strip of the wall looked like
