Fantastic Sunday roast - sharing plate was a hugely generous portion of perfectly cooked beef and sides. Great vibe and good service too.
Lovely pub hidden down a residential street in Islington. Great food, especially the sharing Sunday roasts ! Defo book if you're a big group. Good beer and wine selection . Kid and dog friendly .
The lamb shoulder sharer was exquisite. They're great staff , willing to accommodate and great selection of wines . Doesn't have the pretense of Pig & Butcher .
Excellent gastropub grub with efficient & friendly service . The small courtyard garden is a great place for a pre-meal drink.
Amazing fresh food . The menu changes every day depending the products they have. The waitress are so friendly and explain all you need to know about the dishes. Call to reservate , it's full on dinner .
The British gastro-pub fare. The beer and ales selection is on point. Old wooden tables , checkerboard floors, and board games . Penguin paperbacks drives the cozy vibe home.
Great gastro pub with daily menus , good ales & wines . Plus professional and friendly service . Weekday lunch is often quiet
Nice pub with great food. Not a lot of beer varieties but the ones they have, are great. Don't miss the little garden at the back
Both a great neighborhood feel and gastropub level quality food that beat most London pubs . Worth going off the beaten path
Good selection of beers , lovely courtyard . Staff is the lowlight here, unnecessarily condescending and haughty.
Top roast, nice setting and service ????????
Nice pub with charming dining room, the food is good and the menu changes regularly. The negative point is the staff is not friendly .
Go for the meat dishes, especially those for two or more!
Quality pub food , with an option for vegetarians . The rhubarb crumble was especially great!
Lovely pub hidden on a residential street
Under new owners and refurbished throughout, a good mix of drinkers and diners, thoughtful choice of beers , wines and imaginative modern food, and seats in attractive back garden Read more
Awesome gastro pub . Yummy venison haunch!
Good atmospherr, beer garden , decent choice of beers and loads of wines
Roast lamb is fab but it’s plenty of food for nearly 3 people
Some of the best food by any pub in North London
Four letter words still get points at scrabble ! Don't be shy share you food and trust the house wine :-)
Amazing Sunday roast menu
Good Bistro Style Food. Great garden in summer
Good choice of beers , but beware of their half pints: the glasses are really a third of a pint, but they'll charge you half.
One of my favourite gastro pub in town !
Gastro pub you want to try in Islington. Pretty slow service but nice.
Treat yourself with a burger on Saturday lunch . It's unique!
Curt staff . The food looked good, but on noticing the staff vibe we decided not to eat here. Many other great places in the area.
EVERYTHING. Pork belly is fantastimagical.
Good selection of Ales and quick service .
amazing food and service!
The menu changes daily and the food is simply executed, yet excellent. Read more
Best ham hock I've ever had
Brooklyn beer is great. Food and service also wonderful.
Really great selection of hot and cold bar food if you're a bit peckish but not enough to justify the quite pricey mains.
Very unfriendly staff , destroyed the whole experience. Food is good.
Amazing roasts
Food or drinks
Had a local Islington beer called N7.
Strangely empty on a Friday night. Nice atmosphere, pretty good drinks list but small expensive food portions
Do not leave w/out having the turkey and ham pie ! Wow!!!
Brooklyn beer on tap is great despite the hefty price tag.
Sunday Roast !!
Poor selection of beer , but great beer garden !
Wholesome winter food
The scotch egg . It's delicious!
Great food!!!
You'll struggle to find a better Sunday roast in N1
