The waves are super calm in the morning before 9:30am right now in Summer
Go on the beach before the sunset and sit and wait because you could miss it!
Not bad, if you are staying at the Fairmont, but it gets pretty crowded . If you aren't there are better beaches for waves and calmer beaches for little kids.
Whale season starts 15th December. Take the kea lani canoe trip and see if you can catch a glimpse - what a sight!
Watch out for those waves . They will take your glasses right off your head!
Turtles every morning we were there. If you snorkeled off the right side.

Best time to snorkel is in the early morning 6:30-9am. The wind picks up in the afternoon.
Get there early (before 8) and reserve an umbrella + chairs.
