This is by far the crispiest fried chicken I've had, yet still manages to remain tender and juicy (nice kick too). If you ask, they'll serve you a white meat only version of chicken and waffles

Very good fried chicken , though not the best in the city . Go classic. Lather honey and hot sauce . Cornbread . Biscuits . Craft beers on tap . Surprisingly great cocktail menu .

chicken and waffles are delicious (obviously). they have a great vegetarian fried chick alternative. great ambiance especially for hip hop heads. desserts are yummy, i tried a donut ice cream sandwich

My favorite spot in NYC! The food here is SO good. The atmosphere is very cozy and hip , and they have great music . Also great for just drinks with some snacks .

Get the spicy pecan waffle with chicken . It's perfection. They supply flavored butters as well (rosemary , berry , lemon , etc) which pairs well . The portions are HUGE. The bucket is enough for two!

I really do love Sweet Chick! From the fried chicken & waffles , the vibe & ambience, the soundtrack, the service, the mac n cheese & the cocktails ! Everything is perfect. This is a definite MUST TRY!!

The place is a solid a good spot. The ritz cracker crusted mac and cheese was very good plus for my first time having chicken and waffles it was exactly what i needed it to be.

Hands down, one of the best meals I've had in New York. Not on the menu , but you can and should order grits on the side. Don't skip the mac and cheese !

Eat the vegetarian chicken : amazing. I haven't had chicken in 7 years... I was completely floored!!! Bartender : Amazing! Host (Carson?): awful... The ONLY thing that put a damper on my visit. ????

One word: AMAZING! Chicken and waffles are a must. The biscuit and homemade jam is incredible, too. Bloody Mary with burbon or vodka , garnished with bacon . Nuff said!

They are generous with portions! Also, they serve French Press coffee which is awesome. The eggs Benedict is a mass of mouth watering chicken , poached eggs , and love on biscuits .

Had the general chicken with waffles and it was heaven on earth. Waiter was super friendly and the place cosy and with good music . Will definitely come back!

There are a number of soul food places in the LES at this point and Sweet Chick is top of the heap. Chicken and Waffles is a can't miss. Great selection of butters that compliment hot sauce or syrup .

Go with the classic chicken and waffles and pour syrup over it. The Nashville hot chicken was underwhelming and not that spicy . Music was very loud , hard to talk. Chairs uncomfortable, tables too high

Boozy iced tea is right up my alley! Chicken and waffles tastes like a lemony doughnut with flavored berry butter and others. Got a special, fried chicken sandwich . Adorable decor and great service!

A Williamsburg favorite hits the LES. Different menu than the Williamsburg location with more chicken and waffle options. Again can substitute for the shockingly delicious vegetarian fried chicken !

Very interesting! And welcomed solo travellers happily sitting by the bar , get in early or book if you want a table but it’s something not to be missed

Since this is the only place in NYC I know of that has vegetarian fried chicken , it's the perfect place to have brunch with your vegetarian friend

Best fried chicken ???? in New York. Share the three piece bucket with a friend, coleslaw and mashed potatoes are necessary sides. Oh and the mac and cheese ???? was perfect ????????.

Chicken and Waffels (dried cherry ) were great, really a treat. But the peanut butter cheesecake brownie (layered) was the real surprise. It's amazing. So rich, so delicious.

Eat the chicken & waffles . They come with three amazing butters (honey lemon , rosemary sage and berry ). You will not regret it his sweet savory dish

The Manhattan counterpart to the original Sweet Chick in Williamsburg. Be sure to get chicken and waffles or the chicken and waffle sandwich .

I want to like their chicken but just can't get into the seasoning they use. However their waffles are excellent! Like savory? Get the Parmesan . Want one sweeter? Get the fried cherry .

Get the chicken and waffles regardless of time of day and smother them in honey and hot sauce . Don't miss the maple cured bacon either.

I always get the chicken and waffles . You must get the 3 butters that (usually) come with it. I also like their “daily” lemonade with Fords gin .

The chicken is well seasoned. Nice variety of waffles . Great mac and cheese , but the sauce is a bit loose. The lemonade may not be worth the $6. Maybe it's refillable.

A Ludlow restaurant free of pretension. Chicken and waffle mixes that even the most creative person couldn't dream up. Wonderful staff . Great drinks.

Compound butters were crazy good. Brussel sprouts , shrimp and grits were my favorite sides and the fried chicken is just so crispy .

Beware that these guys have 3 menus throughout the day, from 4 to 6 is not the best available bc you will only find less than 5 items in the menu. Try the fried chicken it's their cover letter.
