Great French Connection burger and Apprtizers. We got the empanadas and the Oysters and they were both tasty.

The lamb gnocchi was delicious as usual. And the maple glazed salmon was also wonderful, if not a little overpriced.

Get the calamari tacos and sea salt & vinegar fries !! Mmm and get the ginger lemonade if someone else is paying! :)

They have a new menu starting TODAY! Their award winning grilled cheese is certainly a treat. I look forward to trying the braised rabbit dish. Lucas is a sweet server.

Don't listen to the nay-Sayers, given the turnover here, Canteen is one of the best (if pricey ) alternatives to the usual Indian and pub fare of king street. Try the wonderful gnocchi .

Love everything and especially the fried Brussels sprouts !

The food is really good here, even the pre-made stuff at the take-out counter. But service can be a bit slow even when it's not busy.

The best dessert this season! It was not too sweet and not too blunt

Tip for Canteen manager: make an effort to serve more locally sourced food . You have a basket of apples from S. Africa!? It's apple season in Ontario and you have a farmers market across the street.

We told them we were in a rush and got our food in 10 mins. In and out in 20. Perfect! And great food.

The green bean Caesar salad is a great side!

Great patio . Great vibe. Open, light and airy. Grilled chicken is always too oily so ask for less olive oil to get it just right

The chocolate chip bacon cookies are incredible.

Knuckle Sandwich was a solid lunch choice - very clean and fresh atmosphere as well .

Chili-ginger margarita is my new fave, just beating out The Stompin' Tom Collins , my previous one.

The smoked salmon croissant was really good...especially with a mimosa !

Menu items seemed interesting, but I was expecting more from an O&B franchise (also overlooking the fact that they burned my quiche ). Place also needs more staff during busy times!

The poached chicken was great, but everything else disappoints: slow service, a beef brisket croissant that skimps on beef , and lacklustre gazpacho and coleslaw . Great people-watching though. Read more

Great for lunch . Bright and luminous urban atmosphere. Dynamic.

Try the root veggies with chickpea fritters and a Mill St Belgian Wit. Hits the spot.

Tuna poke bowl is a great quick bite

The vegetable curry is lovely--roasted vegetables , chickpeas , coconut rice & naan beautifully presented in a tagine . Not too spicy .

Grab the Banana Split - a little big for two people, but you won't regret it afterwards. Delicious!

The Margherita pizza is incredible, good size and quality service. I'm ready to go back.

If you're for breakfast then you must try the breakfast butty. They also have local fruit juices , and a cocoa laced pain au choc .

Try the Mac and cheese . It's been sent down from the gods!

The BBQ fries were overly salty with seasoning salt . They were inedible. The grilles shrimp was sloppy with Aioli over powering. The burger was pretty great though!

The Israeli couscous with pesto & chicken was awesome. And a significant portion compared to my lunch partner's panini .

All day breakfast is good all day! Excellent bacon and sausage . Eggs cooked perfectly to order.

Watch out for the dumbass counter girl that puts watermelon slices in paper bags for take out . Yum, paper pulp!!!

The chicken was a bit on the dry side, which was pretty disappointing because of my positive experience with other O&B restos. Also - had a difficult experience paying w/ a gift card.

All day breakfast is worth the money

During the summer they have a fresh ginger lemonade that's to die for.

Great food, awful server! At breakfast for 1.5 hours and had to ask for our food after an hour, a refill on coffee and water and had to ask another server for the bill so we could eventually leave!

Semolina Gnocchi and French Onion Soup are best in town !

The curry shrimp sandwich is great. Try the rieme blood orange sparkling juice too!

Come to Ottawa. I wish I could have O&B at least once a week.
