Festival Village walking tours depart from the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Tours run daily at 12:30pm and 5:30pm from September 6th- 11th, and last approx. one hour. Free with any film ticket, stub, or pass!

Always have interesting films and they host the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival every May so they either love the gays or love our money but either is fine with me.

Stop by Luma on the second floor for a great place to grab a drink or a snack after a movie . Excellent atmosphere and food, and quieter than the ground floor.

I rarely go here but in those rare occasions - they NEVER get anything right! 3 pm is the only time box office is open and it took the attendants 30 minutes to sign in after coming out at 3:05!

Check out the display of artifacts from the archaeological excavation of the first Toronto General Hospital . It's on the 4th floor in the lobby of the Film Library .

I am Dale Vander Woude. I have visited TIFF many times. I don't think that it is a bad place to go. I enjoyed there with my friends.

I love the Blackberry Lounge . Grab a glass of wine , hook your laptop up and crunch out some work while people watching on King St. P.S. This place is wired beautifully!

Two restaurants on the premises makes it a good place to meet people before or after a show.

You can't really beat Sunday brunch on the patio after church , followed up by a matinee.

Try to get there a bit early as the concession line tends to be a bit slow - but worth it with outstanding baked goods in addition to the usual movie fare! Read more

Getting my picture taken on the Iron Throne (+ a free DVD thrown in) - freakin' cool. Finding out there's a Miyazaki film fest (+ tons of Ghibli goodness at the gift shop ): friggin' awesome.

Great lunch menu in the Canteen. Wifi too. The Sweet Potato Fries from the Appetizer Menu are amazing!

Their film series showcases are always great, like that time they showed a bunch of Nicholas Cage films

yes it's overrated and overpriced but its the only place of its kind and a definite must for anyone with filmic and/or cultural tendencies

The Film Reference Library is a valuable resource for scholars, filmmakers & the general public . The extensive collection of materials make it a rich source for everything cinema !

State-of-the-art building. Great movie screenings all year long, regardless of the TIFF.

There are two unmarked washrooms hidden behind the escalators on the main floor. Handy if the ones upstairs are busy.

They don't serve fountain drinks (bottles only), and only have pepsi products. So you might want to sneak in a bottle/can of Coca-Cola if that's your style.

Easy going, good food, great service, not stuffy, cool crowd. Careful with the falling window :P
