Sally Lunn, a Huguenot refugee (French Protestant), came to this bake-house in 1680 and started to make rich, light, round ‘Bunns.’ The Sally Lunn Bunns and the blend tea are fantastic for lunch .
Great service (a mistake meant my main course arrived after everyone else had finished but they gave it for free and then were happy to accommodate our desert requests from the lunch menu ). Great bun .
Highly recommend this place. It’s so historic with great sense of itself. I have never had a bun so good. The place is quite small, there will be a line to enter. The service was lovely.
Yum! Cinnamon Butter is FAB! So is the the Salmon Sandwich . HAVE BOTH! Worth going, if you can make a reservation , do, if you can't, and don't have time? Run downstairs to their museum and buy one!
came fore coffee & sweets. every thing was really nice from service to taste. don't miss the cinnamon bun it was so yum
Massively long queue in a very very small place. The serve all their food on top of bread (they call lunn). Reasonably good - just make sure you call for reservation before you go.
Cute tea room with friendly staff and a museum downstairs. The Victoria tea (Sally Lunn bun with lemon curd ) is delicious.
Everytime I go to Bath I make sure I have a Sally Lunn’s. And everytime I’m amazed by how delicious it is (my memory never does it justice). It’s my favourite place in Bath!
Amazing food...loved the cinnamon butter bun and the vegetable trencher. So much history. Great service
Came here at the end of our day in bath, very home style food which was lovely. The Sally Lunn bun with butter and garlic was beautiful. I would recommend a visit.
Get their famous sally bun . Perfect when paired with a cup of hot tea especially during winter.
If you are around it's just mandatory to come to this place. Amazing food, stunning place and friendly staff . Buns and thes are the top
Oldest house in Bath , variety of English tea selection ie cream tea/victoria. Nice to spend an afternoon tea time
Such a nice place with very friendly staff , the starter was great, the desert was microwaved back to hot and the coffee came served as if it was going to be good, it was instant coffee a real shame
Super pretty and must try place. The buns are classic yet innovative, delicious !
Bunns are excellent. Coffee a bit weak. Don't miss the museum in the basement .
Oldest house in Bath , birthplace of the famous Bath bun . Delicious food, nice service. Have a look to the kitchen museum in the basement !
Historical visit and great to visit. Not a gastronomic experience.
very nice buns , served hot :) try the salmon bun sandwich with the soup of the day and the chocolate bun for the desert.
Good & delicious food. Really value for money ! ????
Try the Welsh Rarebit and the Dulce de leche buns , they're delicious!
Awesome welsh rarebit . Lovely cup of tea and authentic experience
The chicken / ham hock truncheon meal with soup hits the spot on a cold rainy day ????????
Tastes exactly like the buns you get for extremely cheap in Chinatown, or ten years ago in China.
Always a visits when in Bath, sometimes a long wait for a table but for me worth it
The buns are so light and crispy ! Cranberry and brie sandwich was really good.
Cinnamon butter Lunn Bun ????????
Tasty and cheap lunch in a very sweet place. Quick service . Just go without hesitation.
Great buns . Really soft. Don't touch the gluten free scones with a barge pole. Actually you could hit them with a barge pole and they'd be none the worse.
Ginger Sally Lunn is very good along with the tea . Museum down stairs is worth a look to.
The Cinnamon bun is to die for ????????
Loved Sally Lunn's! Ate there twice in one day... lunch and supper. Even brought some buns home with me to California! Definitely a must if you're in Bath.
