Element Arundel Mills

Awesome gym !!! 2 treadmills , 2 ellipticals , 2 bikes , weight machines and plenty of dumbbells. All equipment in excellent shape plus cardio machines have built-in TVs .

Shuttle service to Arundel Mills mall across the street. Wii in the lobby. DVD player in each room. Very small pool but there is a lifeguard on duty. My favorite hotel with a kitchen in DC.

The hotel is ultra modern and looks nice/clean on the surface. Once you've been here a few days, you'll notice dirty silverware in the breakfast area and an aloof hotel staff . Dogs are allowed tho..

SPG Platinum members: specifically ask for your suite upgrades. We did onsite and got it.

One downside is that, while it is new, the construction is poor. Little plastic things keep falling apart (e.g. shower nozzle, towel rack, curtain cord).

Ask for an upgrade during the holidays-it's empty

Found out that Element and Aloft hotels don't participate in SPG Platinum upgrades.
